Judgment of the Light is fast approaching, so we’re going to start off our previews by getting you fired up for the newest member of the Brotherhood of the Fire Fist! Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Rooster will bring Fire Fist Decks to a new Level. That’s Level 3 to be exact. Rooster has the ability to grab Fire Fist monsters and Fire Formations from your Deck, making it the perfect card for smoothing out the draws in your Fire Fist Deck.

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Rooster is a Level 3 monster with 2 awesome effects.

1.When Rooster is Special Summoned by the effect of a Fire Fist monster, you can add 1 Fire Fist monster from your Deck to your hand.

You’ll need to Special Summon Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Rooster to activate this part of Rooster’s effect. Fortunately, that’s easy for a Fire Fist Duelist to do.

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Dragon lets you Special Summon a Fire Fist monster like Rooster from your Graveyard just by giving up 2 face-up Fire Formations; Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Tiger King lets you Special Summon Roosters from your Deck by giving up 3 face-up Fire Formations when your Tiger King is sent from the field to the Graveyard; and Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Horse Prince lets you Special Summon Rooster from your Deck when it’s Synchro Summoned.

But the easiest way to Special Summon Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Rooster is with the effect of Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Spirit. Spirit is a Level 3 Tuner that lets you Special Summon a Level 3 FIRE monster with 200 DEF or less from your Graveyard whenever it’s Normal Summoned. If you Normal Summon Spirit and use its effect to Special Summon Rooster, your Rooster’s effect will activate and let you grab any Fire Fist monster from your Deck, including another copy of Spirit. Later that turn, you can Tune your Rooster with your Spirit to Synchro Summon Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Horse Prince, or combine your 2 monsters to Xyz Summon a Rank 3 monster like Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Lion Emperor.

If you grab another Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Spirit from your Deck with the effect of your Rooster, you’ll usually be able to Normal Summon that Spirit on your next turn, and use its effect to Special Summon Rooster back from your Graveyard, repeating the entire process.

2.Once per turn, you can send 1 face-up Fire Formation Spell or Trap Card that you control to the Graveyard to Set 1 Fire Formation Spell or Trap Card from your Deck.

Don’t forget – after you Special Summon Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Rooster and use its effect to grab a Fire Fist monster from your Deck, you can use its other effect too. That’ll let you swap out a depleted Fire Formation for a brand new one. You can take any Fire Formation from your Deck – Spell or Trap – with Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Rooster, allowing you to adapt to any situation. You can even swap a face-up Fire Formation for one with the same name, letting you to switch a face-up Fire Formation – Tenki with one that you grab from your Deck and Set face-down.

Note that both of Rooster’s effects are independent of one another. You can use its first effect to add a Fire Fist monster to your hand when it’s Special Summoned, even if you don’t have a Fire Formation to send to the Graveyard. Likewise, you can trade in a face-up Fire Formation for a new one from your Deck, even if your Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Rooster wasn’t Special Summoned to the field.

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Rooster is a powerful addition to any Fire Fist Deck. You can hatch your Roosters out of packs of Judgment of the Light starting at the Sneak Peeks on August 3^rd and 4^th.
