Judgment of the Light Preview: Mist Bird Clausolas
Check out the first Level 3 Synchro Monster that can be Summoned by combining any Tuner with 1 or more non-Tuners: Mist Bird Clausolas!
Mist Bird Clausolas may not look powerful at first glance, but it packs a powerful effect underneath its 0 ATK. Once per turn, Mist Bird Clausolas can negate the effects of an opponent’s monster and reduce that monster’s ATK to 0 until the end of the turn. Cards with high-ATK and strong built-in protection effects like Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack sure are a lot less intimidating after Mist Bird Clausolas sinks its claws into them!
Plus, Mist Bird Clausolas has 2300 DEF, which makes it tough to destroy in battle. As long as you take out the monster that Clausolas weakened, that 2300 DEF is likely to ensure it’ll stick around to use its effect again next turn!
Mist Bird Clausolas is easy to Summon by Tuning together some of your favorite low-Level monsters. Low-Level Tuners like Spore, Unknown Synchron, and The Fabled Cerburrel, plus low-Level non-Tuners like Quillbolt Hedgehog, Doppelwarrior, Doppel Tokens (Special Summoned by the effect of Doppelwarrior), and Fluff Tokens (Special Summoned by the effect of Dandylion) make Mist Bird Clausolas easy to Summon. You can even use the new Tuner Trap Monster Shapesister along with most Tokens to Summon Clausolas.
Mist Bird Clausolas is also a great companion for an already-on-field T.G. Hyper Librarian. Previously, if you had T.G. Hyper Librarian on the field with a Level 2 Tuner and a Level 1 non-Tuner, you weren’t able to Tune your last 2 monsters together to perform an extra Synchro Summon and draw an extra card with Hyper Librarian’s effect. But that all changes with Mist Bird Clausolas! If you have T.G. Hyper Librarian on the field with a Tuner like Formula Synchron (Level 2) and a non-Tuner like a Fluff Token (Level 1), you can Synchro Summon Clausolas and draw an extra card with Librarian’s effect. Then, you can de-fang an enemy monster and have Hyper Librarian attack it for a cool 2400 damage!
Mist Bird Clausolas also gives you a Level 3 option for a Synchro Material that can be used to Summon Shooting Quasar Dragon. Up until now, it was nearly impossible to Synchro Summon Shooting Quasar Dragon (Level 12) by Tuning Formula Synchron (a Level 2 Tuner) with a Level 3 Synchro Monster and a Level 7 Synchro Monster, because the only available Level 3 Synchro Monster was Turbo Cannon, which required Turbo Rocket as a Synchro Material. Mist Bird Clausolas enables new paths to Shooting Quasar Dragon.
There are limitless ways to Summon Mist Bird Clausolas, and countless possibilities for using it. If your Deck can Summon a Level 3 Synchro monster, try to get a copy Mist Bird Clausolas starting at Judgment of the Light Sneak Peeks this weekend!
