The Fire Formation arsenal has expanded once again! Each Fire Formation card has a unique effect that will carry you through a Duel if activated at the right time. The newest Fire Formation in Judgment of the Light finally gives Fire Fist Duelists a way to use their Fire Formations to vanquish opposing cards without relying on monster effects.

Fire Formation – Yoko lets you destroy an opponent’s face-up card by discarding Beast-Warrior from your hand. Then, it will remain in your Spell & Trap Card Zone, increasing the ATK of your Beast-Warriors by 100 points (just like the rest of the Fire Formation Spell Cards).

Like the other Fire Formation Spell Cards, Yoko is easy to pull from your Deck with the effects of Fire Fist monsters like Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Bear (which is about to be in the 2013 Collectible Tins), Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Rooster (from Judgment of the Light), and Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Gorilla (from Cosmo Blazer). Furthermore, like the other Fire Formation Spell Cards, Yoko lingers on the field after it’s activated, so it can be sent to the Graveyard to activate the effects of your most powerful Fire Fist Monsters.

All Fire Fist monsters are Beast-Warriors, so they can all be discarded with Yoko to destroy an opponent’s face-up card after you activate it. That makes Yoko’s powerful effect easy to use in a Fire Fist Deck. Furthermore, its effect can have a huge impact on a Duel, because it completely eliminates an opponent’s threat. Note that Yoko can destroy any face-up card your opponent destroys – not just face-up monsters. You can get rid of a huge monster that’s in your way, or a pesky Continuous Spell or Trap Card, like Messenger of Peace. If your opponent has any face-up card on the field that’s posing a problem, you can take care of it with Fire Formation – Yoko.

Yoko is best-used alongside the rest of the Fire Formations available to Fire Fist Duelists. While Yoko destroys an opponent’s face-up card, Fire Formation – Gyokkou stops an opponent’s face-down card from being activated; Fire Formation – Tenki lets you add a Beast-Warrior from your Deck to your hand; and Fire Formation – Tensu lets you Normal Summon twice in a single turn. In addition, the Fire Formation Trap Cards give a variety of supporting effects to your Fire Fist monsters, and the Fire Fist monsters help you get the Fire Formations you need, whenever you need them.

A Fire Fist Deck’s greatest strength is its versatility. It has lots of different powerful cards at its disposal, and a Fire Fist Duelist can pull those cards from the Deck whenever he or she needs them. Add Fire Formation – Yoko to your Deck to expand the plays that you can make and destroy your opponent’s cards with Fire Formations.
