Evo-Singularity

May 24th, 2014

Evolution has reached a new apex! Thanks to Evo-Singularity, Evol Decks can Summon their most powerful Xyz Monsters with the flip of a Trap Card!

EvoSing
Evol Decks rely on two types of monsters in their Main Deck: Reptile-type Evoltile monsters and Dinosaur-type Evolsaur monsters. Generally, the Evoltile monsters’ effects help Summon Evolsaur monsters, and two Evolsaur monsters of the same level can be combined to Xyz Summon one of the three Evolzar Dragons: Evolzar Laggia, Evolzar Dolkka, and Evolzar Solda. Although these three Dragons are powerful, it has always taken a lot of effort to Summon them in Evol Decks. But with the release of Evo-Singularity in Primal Origin, Summoning any one of them has never been easier!

Evo-Singularity lets you bypass the normal Xyz Summoning requirements for your Evolzars. Instead of combining 2 Level 4 Dinosaurs to Summon Evolzar Laggia or Evolzar Dolkka, or combining 2 Level 6 Dinosaurs to Summon Evolzar Solda, Evo-Singularity lets you Special Summon ANY Evolzar from your Extra Deck by using ANY Evoltile and ANY Evolsaur in your Graveyard as Xyz Materials. It doesn’t matter what any of their Ranks or Levels are – if you have an Evoltile and an Evolsaur in your Graveyard, plus an Evolzar in your Extra Deck, you can use Evo-Singularity to Summon one of your most powerful monsters.

Each of the three Evolzar monsters has a unique effect. In a pinch, you can use Evo-Singularity to Special Summon any one of them with 2 Xyz Materials attached to it.

Here’s a quick reminder of what the three Evolzar Dragons can do:

Evolzar Laggia has 2400 ATK. It can give up both of its Xyz Materials to negate the activation of a Spell or Trap card, or negate the Summon of a monster, and destroy the card that it negates.

Evolzar Dolkka has 2300 ATK. It can give up an Xyz Material to negate a monster’s effect and destroy the monster that activated the effect.

Evolzar Solda has 2600 ATK. It can give up an Xyz Material to destroy a monster that your opponent Special Summons. In addition, while Evolzar Solda has any Xyz Materials attached to it, it can’t be destroyed by card effects.

Based on the situation you’re facing in a Duel, you can decide which Evolzar is best to Summon with Evo-Singularity.

In order to use Evo-Singularity, you’ll need an Evoltile and an Evolsaur in your Graveyard. Fortunately, Evol Duelists tend to get lots of Evoltiles and Evolsaur monsters into the Graveyard throughout the course of Duel, since most of the monsters they use are Evoltiles or Evolsaurs. That means you don’t need to go out of your way to use Evo-Singularity effectively in an Evol Deck.

Nevertheless, if you’re looking for some ways to get Evoltile and Evolsaur monsters into your Graveyard even more quickly for Evo-Singularity, lots of options are available.

Evoltile Lagosucho, for example, sends an Evolsaur monster from your Deck to your Graveyard when it’s Normal Summoned. Similarly, the Mathematician from Dragons of Legend lets you send a Level 4 or lower monster from your Deck to your Graveyard when it’s Normal Summoned. That means whether an Evoltile or an Evolsaur is missing from your Graveyard, Summoning the Mathematician will set you up to activate Evo-Singularity.

Evo-Singularity is an incredible card that will make Evol Decks more powerful than ever before! You can add Evo-Singularity to your Evol Deck right now!
