The Melodious Divas Debut!
Three new rising stars are taking center stage in Duelist Alliance, and they’ll be performing their way to the top of the Dueling scene! Aria the Melodious Diva, Sonata the Melodious Diva, and Mozarta the Melodious Maestro are the newest trio of talented monsters that work together to dazzle opponents.
Aria the Melodious Diva is the heart of the Melodious orchestra. While she’s on the field after being Special Summoned, she and the rest of your Melodious monsters can’t be targeted by card effects or destroyed by battle.
Aria understands the importance of teamwork. When she’s Special Summoned on the field, she ensures that all of your Melodious monsters act in unison to support one another in the Duel.
Sonata the Melodious Diva hops on stage to bolster the sound of her fellow musicians. While you have another Melodious monster on your field, you can Special Summon Sonata from your hand. While she’s on your field after being Special Summoned, she increases the ATK and DEF of all of your Fairy monsters by 500.
Since all three Melodious monsters, including Sonata, are Fairy-Type monsters, all three of them will benefit from Sonata’s musical efforts.
Mozarta the Melodious Maestro uses her baton to lead the rest of the Melodious monsters in concert. Mozarta is a Level 8 monster with 2600 ATK. Once per turn, you can use Mozarta’s effect to Special Summon 1 LIGHT Fairy-Type monster from your hand. You can’t Special Summon monsters other than LIGHT Fairy-Type monsters during the turn you use Mozarta’s effect.
Since all of the Melodious monsters are LIGHT Fairy-Type monsters, you can Special Summon any of them with Mozarta’s effect. If you Special Summon Aria or Sonata with Mozarta’s effect, their effects will activate to empower all of your Melodious monsters.
For now, there are only three different Melodious monsters in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME; but since they’re all LIGHT Fairy-Type monsters, you can combine them in a Deck with lots of Fairy support cards to bring out their maximum potential.
Cards like Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen and Miraculous Descent make it easy to Special Summon Fairy-Type monsters like the new Melodious cards and activate their effects. Similarly, cards that can Special Summon any type of monster (such as Call of the Haunted) are particularly effective when used to Special Summon the new Melodious monsters, since you can immediately benefit from their effects after Special Summoning them.
Try mixing the new Melodious monsters in a Deck with other powerful Fairy-Type monsters. Freya, Spirit of Victory can tack on an extra 400 ATK and DEF to your monsters to go along with the 500 from Sonata. By using The Agent monsters alongside your new Melodious monsters, you can overwhelm your opponents with powerful boss monsters like Archlord Kristya and Master Hyperion, while serenading them with your Melodious Divas.
Look for even more Melodious Divas when The New Challengers step onto the stage in November!
