Finally, the rules for winning a Duel have been updated regarding winning a Duel while a card’s effect is resolving. Read on for details.

The 5 cards with revised text that will become legal for play as Limited cards on April 1st are:

You can activate 1 Trap Card the turn it was Set. You can send 1 “Mystical Beast of Serket” in your Monster Zone and this card you control to the Graveyard; Special Summon 1 monster from your hand or Deck, or 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck. You can only use each effect of “Temple of the Kings” once per turn.

Ring of Destruction
During your opponent’s turn: Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls whose ATK is less than or equal to their LP; destroy that face-up monster, and if you do, take damage equal to its original ATK, then inflict damage to your opponent, equal to the damage you took. You can only activate 1 “Ring of Destruction” per turn.

Exchange of the Spirit
If both players have 15 or more cards in their Graveyards: Pay 1000 LP; each player swaps the cards in their Graveyard with the cards in their Deck, then shuffles their Deck. You can only activate 1 “Exchange of the Spirit” per Duel.

Crush Card Virus
Tribute 1 DARK monster with 1000 or less ATK; your opponent takes no damage until the end of the next turn, also, you look at your opponent’s hand and all monsters they control, and if you do, destroy the monsters among them with 1500 or more ATK, then your opponent can destroy up to 3 monsters with 1500 or more ATK in their Deck.

You are not required to own the most recently printed version of these cards in order to play with them, however you are required to play any copy of these cards as if they have the latest text, just as you are with any other card.

Additionally, the rules for determining the winner of a Duel while a card or effect is resolving have changed.

OLD: A Duel cannot end during the resolution of a card effect, but will end immediately afterwards if the victory condition has still been achieved.

NEW: If a player’s Life Points reach 0 during the resolution of a card effect or a player is required to draw and cannot, the Duel immediately ends. If a card’s special victory condition, such as that of Exodia the Forbidden One is achieved during the resolution of a card effect, the Duel does not immediately end. If the victory condition is still true after the current effect on the Chain resolves completely, the Duel ends.
