World Superstars – Utopia Forever!

April 6th, 2015

Are you looking to “Hi-Five the Sky” with Yuma’s Utopia monsters? It’s about to become easier than ever before! World Superstars contains brand new cards that you can include in a Deck dedicated to Number 39: Utopia and its various attack modes.

Onomatopia
is a Field Spell Card that gains a “Hi-Five the Sky” Counter each time you Special Summon a Utopia monster to the field. Each monster you control gains 200 ATK and DEF for each “Hi-Five the Sky” Counter on Onomatopia, and you can remove 2 “Hi-Five the Sky” Counters from it once per turn to Special Summon a “Zubaba,” “Gagaga,” “Gogogo,” or “Dododo” monster from your Deck.

Adding “Hi-Five the Sky” counters to your Onomatopia is easy. Here are some of the ways that you can do it:

  • Combine 2 Level 4 monsters to Xyz Summon Number 39: Utopia.
  • Upgrade your Number 39: Utopia into Number C39: Utopia Ray. (You can even do this during the same turn you Xyz Summon Number 39: Utopia.)
  • Combine 2 Level 6 monsters to Xyz Summon Number 39: Utopia Beyond.
  • Special Summon a Utopia monster from your Graveyard with the effect of Number 39: Utopia Beyond. (You can even do this during the same turn you Xyz Summon Number 39: Utopia Beyond.)
  • Combine 2 Level 1 monsters to Xyz Summon Number 39: Utopia Roots.
  • Activate a Rank-Up-Magic card to Special Summon Number C39: Utopia Ray V or Number C39: Utopia Ray Victory from your Extra Deck.

You’ll gain a “Hi-Five the Sky” Counter every time you Special Summon a Utopia monster, even if it’s not from your Extra Deck. That means you can also gain “Hi-Five the Sky” Counters by Special Summoning Utopia monsters from your Graveyard with cards like Xyz Reborn and Call of the Haunted.

By using those “Hi-Five the Sky” Counters to Special Summon “Zubaba,” “Gagaga,” “Gogogo,” and/or “Dododo” monsters from your Deck, you’ll be able to Xyz Summon more Utopia monsters and add more Counters to your Onomatopia. For example, if you Special Summon Gogogo Ghost from your Deck with the effect of Onomatopia, you can activate your Ghost’s effect to Special Summon Gogogo Golem from your Graveyard and Xyz Summon Number 39: Utopia.

After you’ve Summoned a bunch of different Utopia monsters and they’ve fallen to the Graveyard, you can use The Door of Destiny to open the door to your victory.

The Door of Destiny is a Trap Card that negates a direct attack and then Special Summons itself to the field as a monster with 0 ATK and DEF. Then, during each of your Standby Phases, The Door of Destiny lets you banish any number of Utopia monsters with different names from your Graveyard. Your opponent takes 500 points of damage for each Utopia monster banished by this effect, and The Door of Destiny gains ATK equal to the amount of damage your opponent takes. The more Utopia monsters you manage to Summon during a Duel, the more devastating The Door of Destiny’s effect becomes.

World Superstars contains lots of Yuma’s coolest cards from Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal. Onomatopia and The Door of Destiny are just two of them. You can get your hands on these 2 cards and more when World Superstars releases on April 17th!
