World Superstars – The Game is Afoot!
Are you interested in hunting Number cards, like Kite Tenjo from Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal? If so, Numeral Hunter will become your greatest ally after the release of World Superstars!
Numeral Hunter exists to hunt down Number cards. It has lots of different effects, and all of them are specifically designed to counteract Xyz Monsters, especially Number monsters.
First, if Numeral Hunter is Summoned, he returns all “Number” monsters on the field to their owners’ Extra Decks. This effect will immediately undo all of your opponent’s efforts made toward Summon “Number” monsters.
Second, neither player can Special Summon “Number” Xyz Monsters while Numberal Hunter is on the field. This effect makes sure that Duelists do not have access to the Number monsters in their Extra Deck or elsewhere.
Third, Numeral Hunter can’t be destroyed in battle by Xyz Monsters and is unaffected by the effects of Xyz Monsters. This makes Numeral Hunter tough to destroy even when your opponent isn’t relying on Number monsters.
Numeral Hunter’s effect may seem narrow, since it’s on-Summon effect is a specific counter to Number cards; but there are lots of different Number cards that Numeral Hunter can stop that players use all the time. In fact, there are too many Number monsters to name in this article.
Some of the most popular Number monsters that Numeral Hunter can instantly send back to the Extra Deck and prevent your opponent from Summoning include Number 17: Leviathan Dragon, Number 39: Utopia, Number 61: Volcasaurus, Number 80: Rhapsody in Berserk, Number 82: Heartlandraco, Number 101: Silent Honor ARK, and Number 103: Ragnazero.
Lots of different Decks use Number monsters, so you never know when Numeral Hunter will come in handy. Even against Decks that don’t use Number monsters, Numeral Hunter’s invulnerability to both the effects and the attacks of Xyz Monsters like Castel, the Skyblaster Musketeer; Evilswarm Exciton Knight; Dante, Traveler of the Burning Abyss; Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon; and more makes it a tremendous asset.
Numeral Hunter is a cool card with a unique and powerful effect. You can start trouncing Duelists and hunting Numbers with Numeral Hunter after the release of World Superstars on April 17th!
