Devastation, Done Dirt Cheap
Everything’s coming up Galaxy! While World Superstars introduced four new killer cards for Galaxy-Eyes Photon fans, Crossed Souls has two more. Superstars was all about support like Photon Stream of Destruction and Galaxy Soldier, but Crossed Souls is all about the big guys. Galaxy-Eyes Xyz Monsters were already good, but now you can unleash Galaxy-Eyes Full Armor Photon Dragon!
Slamming to the field with a thunderous 4000 Attack Points and 3500 DEF, you can Xyz Summon Galaxy-Eyes Full Armor Photon Dragon in two different ways: overlay three Level 8 monsters, or use a Galaxy-Eyes Xyz like Number 62: Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon as Xyz Material. Overlay two Level 8’s for Prime Photon or Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon, and you’ll make Full Armor Photon Dragon with three Xyz Materials, for just two cards.
That’s awesome, because once per turn you can detach an Xyz Material from Full Armor Photon Dragon, target any enemy card that’s face-up, and destroy it. Whatever’s in your way? Full Armor Photon Dragon shoves it into the Graveyard so you can swing for 4000 damage. Monsters, Field Spells, Continuous Traps… Full Armor Photon Dragon answers it, then goes right for your opponent’s Life Points.
Out of Xyz Materials? Galaxy-Eyes Full Armor Photon Dragon even has a backup effect that lets you target up to two Equips attached to it, turning them into Xyz Materials. Use your Equip Spells to wreak even more havoc, then turn them into free destruction, or counter enemy Equip Cards with negative effects and turn those into free destruction as well.
Need a little help with your Xyz Summon? Want to make the most of Twin Photon Lizard? The Melody of Awakening Dragon’s a new Spell Card that lets you discard a card to search up to two Dragons with 3000 or more ATK, and 2500 or less DEF from your Deck. That makes it really easy to get to Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, but you can also search some of Dueling’s other great Dragons: Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Rainbow Dragon, White Night Dragon, and even Koa’ki Meiru Maximus are all at your fingertips.
While discarding a card and activating The Melody of Awakening Dragon to search two cards from your Deck would normally be an even trade, there are lots of ways to play it to your advantage. Discard a card like Sinister Serpent, The White Stone of Legend, or Volcanic Shell to get free cards out of the transaction. Or pitch stuff that was better in your Graveyard anyways: loading Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon sets you up to abuse Galaxy Knight and Galaxy-Eyes Cloudragon, or toss cards like Breakthrough Skill and Tachyon Chaos Hole to play their Graveyard effects.
Galaxy-Eyes Full Armor Photon Dragon is the best heavy-hitter yet for the Galaxy and Photon theme, while The Melody of Awakening Dragon mashes up Dragons new and old to make a ton of cool plays and possibilities! Crossed Souls is all about the boss monsters, and us Galaxy Photon freaks can get this one right now.
