Yuya’s ace monster, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon comes in many different forms, ranging all the way from the classic Effect Monster to Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, and Pendulum Monster.  Of all the different forms of Odd-Eyes, not one of them is a Normal Monster… until now.  Making its debut in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Legendary Dragon Decks is Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon!

Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon is a Level 7 DARK Dragon with 2700 ATK and 2000 DEF. It’s a Normal Pendulum Monster so you can benefits from either half. Its Pendulum Scale is 8, making a perfect high-scale for Pendulum Summoning the original Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon as well as any of Yuya’s Performapal Monsters to go alongside it.  While it doesn’t have a monster effect, its Pendulum Effect is a perfect fit for a dedicated Odd-Eyes strategy: if an Odd-Eyes card or cards you control are destroyed by battle or card effect, you can Special Summon a card with “Odd-Eyes” in its name from the hand, Deck or Graveyard.  This is an incredible effect that lets you replace your destroyed “Odd-Eyes” cards with even more powerful dragons without giving up any resources to do it!  You can even Special Summon a fallen Odd-Eyes Monster that started in the Extra Deck like Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon assuming you properly Summoned it in the first place.

It’s easy to see that Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon’s Pendulum Effect is very good, but the combination of its stats, its status as a Normal Monster and even its name are also huge assets to be looked at.  Because this card has “Odd-Eyes” in its name, you can add it to your hand with Sky Iris.  But it’s also a Pendulum Monster with “Pendulum” in its name, Duelist Alliance can also fetch it from the Deck.  It’s a Normal Monster with a Level of 5 or higher, so Summoner’s Art finds it, it’s also a Dragon so you can send it to your GY with Dragon Ravine and Dragon’s Shrine, it’s Level 7 so Return of the Dragon Lords can Special Summon it from the GY (and so can Silver’s Cry because it’s a Normal Monster)… and I’m sure there’s a lot more ways to take advantage of Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon’s stats to great effect!

An effective combo you can use with Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon and the original Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon is to place both of them in your Pendulum Zones, perform a Pendulum Summon with levels 5 to 7, and in the End Phase, use Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon’s effect to destroy itself and add a Pendulum Monster with 1500 or less ATK from Deck to hand.  Because Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon was destroyed by its own card effect, Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon’s Pendulum Effect will activate, letting you Special Summon another Odd-Eyes card from the hand, Deck or GY!
