Spirit Warriors: Shadow Squad

November 16th, 2017

The Six Samurai monsters were an old favorite for Duelists around the world! They were first released in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME in 2007, and gradually gained support throughout the years. The release of Gateway of the Six in 2009 allowed them to dominate tournaments everywhere, and the release of Legendary Six Samurai – Shi En and the rest of the Legendary Six Samurais in 2011 created a resurgence in their popularity after Gateway of the Six was Forbidden. Now, Gateway of the Six is back in the Advanced Format, and brand new Six Samurai cards are coming in Spirit Warriors!

The Secret Six Samurais in Spirit Warriors are the newest generation of Samurais in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME! Each Secret Six Samurai can be banished from your Graveyard to protect a Six Samurai monster on your field when it would be destroyed by a card effect. In total, Spirit Warriors contains 5 new Secret Six Samurai monsters for you to include in your Main Deck.

Spirit Warriors also contains a brand new Six Samurai Fusion Monster: Secret Six Samurai – Rihan!GoodGuyGoneBadReloaded

You can Special Summon Secret Six Samurai – Rihan by sending 3 Six Samurai monsters with all different Attributes from your field to your Graveyard. That’s easy for a Six Samurai Duelist to do, since the 5 other Secret Six Samurais in Spirit Warriors are each a different Attribute, and the old Six Samurais and Legendary Six Samurais spread across six different Attributes.

Six Samurai Decks specialize in Special Summoning lots of monsters to the field, thanks to old favorites like Grandmaster of the Six Samurai, Asceticism of the Six Samurai, Elder of the Six Samurai, Legendary Six Samurai – Kizan, and Legendary Six Samurai – Kageki, as well as new Six Samurai monsters like Secret Six Samurai – Hatsume and Secret Six Samurai – Fuma. That makes Summoning Rihan a breeze!

Rihan has 2400 ATK and DEF, plus an effect that lets you banish a Six Samurai monster from your hand or face-up from your field once per turn to target a card on the field and banish it. Like the rest of the Secret Six Samurai monsters, Rihan also has an effect that works from the Graveyard. If one or more Six Samurai monsters you control would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can banish Rihan from your Graveyard to protect all of them. Rihan’s protection from the Graveyard is more extensive than the protection provided by the rest of the Secret Six Samurais, since it can protect any number of your Samurais that would be destroyed, whether they are threatened by battle or by card effect.

The Secret Six Samurai cards in Spirit Warriors give Duelists a new way to play with the Six Samurai theme. You can add Secret Six Samurais to your Deck when Spirit Warriors releases on November 17th!
