Shadows in Valhalla: Into the Aeon

August 16th, 2018

We first saw the Invoked make their debut in Fusion Enforcers back in early 2017, and now they’re set to become even stronger! Invoked gets a brand-new Link Monster in Shadows over Valhalla that makes it easy to overwhelm your opponent with a flurry of fast Fusion Summons!

Aleister the Invoker of Madness require 2 Monsters to Link Summon, with the conditions that the two monsters you use have both different Types and Attributes. Thankfully, this is a really easy condition to fulfil! Since Aleister the Invoker is a DARK monster, you can use monsters like Cyber Dragon or Nefarious Archfiend Eater of Nefariousness, or any other monster that Special Summons itself to easily Link Summon Aleister. Using Aleister to Link Summon his Link Monster version won’t be a downside, as Aleister counts as Aleister the Invoker on the field or in the GY. He will also provide 2 Link Arrows pointing towards your own field giving you plenty of space for Fusion Monsters. Aleister’s updated name will be helpful when you want to use him as Fusion Material for an Invoked monster later! Since you’ll have 2 monsters in the GY after Link Summoning, you can use Invocation to immediately Fusion Summon by banishing the monsters from your GY, and then return your original Aleister to your hand to do it all over again!

The best part about Aleister the Invoker of Madness is that as long as you have cards in your hand, you can keep Fusion Summoning monsters over and over again. Whenever you Fusion Summon while you control Aleister, you can discard a card to add “Invocation” or “The Book of the Law” from your Deck to your hand! Aleister gives you the ability to Fusion Summon over and over again by searching out new Fusion Spells, while also putting Fusion Materials into the GY to banish with Invocation. You can even search out The Book of the Law to swap out one of your Invoked monsters with another from your Extra Deck! The fun doesn’t stop even if your opponent tries to deal with Aleister because if he’s removed from the field by your opponent’s card effect, you can add Omega Summon from your Deck to your hand! Having even a single copy of Omega Summon to search will give you a massive recursion tool for some of the monsters you may have banished while performing Fusion Summons earlier in the Duel.

Aleister the Invoker of Madness makes it easy to continuously Fusion Summon monster and set off a chain reaction that can end with a huge Omega Summon! If you’re looking for the card to take your Invoked Deck to the next level, then you’ll definitely want to get your hands on Aleister the Invoker of Madness from Shadows in Valhalla, available now at Official Tournament Stores and tomorrow everywhere else!
