White Dragon Abyss: Seto Kaiba’s Blue-Eyes

September 28th, 2018

Legendary Duelists: White Dragon Abyss is all about the biggest, baddest Dragons of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME, and even among these elite monsters, none stand taller or fly higher than the original Dragon of Yu-Gi-Oh!: the legendary Blue-Eyes White Dragon!  Blue-Eyes was at the forefront of competition years ago, and to this day remains a fan favorite.  But in Legendary Duelists: White Dragon Abyss, you’ll find the cards you need to bring Blue-Eyes over the top once again!

First there’s Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon, a Ritual Monster with 3000 ATK and 0 DEF.  You need the Ritual Spell Card Chaos Form to Ritual Summon it, which can also Summon Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon, so putting Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon into the same Deck as Chaos MAX Dragon is an easy fit.  It has the same protection effect that Chaos MAX Dragon does, but if you used Blue-Eyes White Dragon for its Ritual Summon, you can use Blue-Eyes Chaos Drgaon’s effect when it attacks to change the battle positions of all of your opponent’s monsters, make the ATK and DEF of those monsters 0, and inflict piercing battle damage.  In most cases, Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon will connect for 3000 damage and leave the rest of your opponent’s monsters open to Duel-ending attacks!

Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon
works in a Ritual-specific Deck, but the new Spell Card Bingo Machine, Go!!! Works in any Blue-Eyes Deck!  When Bingo Machine, Go!!! Resolves, you reveal 3 cards from your Deck, each one being a Blue-Eyes monster or a Spell/Trap that specifically lists Blue-Eyes White Dragon or Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, your opponent randomly picks one of them to add to your hand, the other 2 get shuffled back into your Deck.  The card name is a reference to the Bingo machine used by Seto Kaiba during the Battle City Quarterfinals to determine the tournament bracket, and just like those pairings, what you get is random, but nothing is stopping you from picking 3 copies of the same card to guarantee you get the card you want!

And if you were going to pick 3 of a card for Bingo Machine, Go!!!, you may want to consider the new Quick-Play Spell Card Rage with Eyes of Blue.  This card is powerful enough to end the Duel on the very turn you activate it (or save you in a pinch).  You have to banish face-down every card on the field (including itself) along with every card in your hand and Graveyard, but in return you get to Special Summon up to 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons from your Deck.  You can’t Normal or Special Summon any other monsters besides Blue-Eyes White Dragon during the turn you activate Rage with Eyes of Blue, but if everything goes well, you shouldn’t need any other monsters since your dragons can still attack!  If you cleared your opponent’s field with Raigeki and/or Hey, Trunade!, you can wipe out your opponent’s Life Points in one fell swoop!

These powerful Blue-Eyes cards, and other powerful Dragon cards can be found in Legendary Duelists: White Dragon Abyss, available everywhere today!
