How to Get Around Black Whirlwind

February 9th, 2010

“Black Whirlwind” is one of the strongest cards Blackwing Duelists can activate. It gives them access to all of their key monsters by letting them search for another Blackwing every time one is Normal Summoned. Fortunately, there are a bunch of cards you can use to stop it.

Since “Black Whirlwind” is a Continuous Spell Card, it’s vulnerable to all of the commonly played Spell and Trap Card removal. Ancient Prophecy: Vayu the Emblem of Honor

November 24th, 2009

On September 1, the powerful Tuner monster “Blackwing – Gale the Whirlwind” was added to the Limited Cards list. Luckily for Blackwing Duelists, a new Tuner monster became available in Ancient Prophecy: “Blackwing – Vayu the Emblem of Honor.” Vayu isn’t like most Tuners, though. Its effect prevents you from using it as a Tuner while it’s on the field. Instead, you use it to Special Summon Synchro Monsters while it’s in the Graveyard.
