Code of the Duelist is here!

Code of the Duelist launches everywhere today! It’s also tournament legal starting today, making this weekend your first chance to try out Trickstars, Vendread, World Chalice, Gouki, and cool Link Monsters like Firewall Dragon and Topologic Bomber Dragon.

Code of the Duelist: Supreme King Dragons

In Maximum Crisis, we first saw the awesome Supreme King Z-ARC, a crazy strong Fusion Pendulum Monster. It was tough to use at first, since it needs four Dragons as its Fusion Materials, and they need to be one each of Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, and Pendulum. Then, Pendulum Evolution gave us new Magician Pendulum Monsters and Astrograph Sorcerer and Chronograph Sorcerer to get Z-ARC into play even easier. Finally, Code of the Duelist is bringing the final Supreme King monsters, the DARK variants of the Dimension Dragons themselves!

Supreme King Z-ARC has the power to Special Summon a Supreme King Dragon from your Deck or Extra Deck, any time it destroys something in battle. Until now, your only choice was Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm. Darkwurm is a strong card, but its ATK is a bit lacking and it isn’t very helpful if you aren’t using a strategy focused on Supreme King Gate Zero and Supreme King Gate Infinity. With these new Dragons, you’ll have even more powerful options to Special Summon with Z-ARC.

Code of the Duelist: They Always Come Back

Fans of Ritual Monsters, rejoice! Code of the Duelist introduces a brand new theme of monsters, the Vendread, that specialise in Ritual Summoning and empowering the Ritual Monsters they Summon. We’re not going to talk about the Vendread monsters today, though – we’re going to discuss the Vendread Trap Card that will help not only your Vendread Deck, but just about any strategy you can think of!
