How to Get Around Infernity Decks

July 8th, 2010

The Shining Darkness brought about one of the strongest Decks we’ve seen in a long time. Infernities have propelled Duelists to victory in several World Championship Qualifiers, as well as last month’s Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series in Chicago, and is a very difficult Deck to defeat. However, with the right cards and a solid plan of action, you can give yourself the edge against Infernity Decks.

Infernities are known for doing 3 things very well; they fill up the Graveyard with everything they need, Special Summon several monsters at once, and end Duels very quickly either by attacking for over 8000 Life Points at once, or by making sure you can’t make a comeback thanks to Infernity Barrier. The best way to tackle this almost unbeatable Deck is to have cards that can stop each part of their big combo, and play them at just the right time.

No Graveyard? No problem! Infernities rely on having a fully-stocked Graveyard to win.

Here are some tactics you can use to battle back against this fearsome monster!

How Do I Defeat a Zombie Duelist?

February 24th, 2010

One of the most powerful Decks in tournament play right now happens to be the Zombie Deck. This Deck relies on the Graveyard to set up huge plays using card effects that can Special Summon monsters at lightning speed. With the arrival of “Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier” in Hidden Arsenal, Zombie Decks now have an even easier way of dumping those monsters into the Graveyard while at the same time setting up for a huge push for victory. Don’t think for a second that this Deck is unstoppable though, because there are a lot of cards that completely counter the Zombie strategy, making it nearly impossible for them to set up.
