How Do I Take Down Dino-Rabbit?

The Dino Rabbit Deck is consistent, controlling, and adaptable, making it a favorite for lots of Duelists.  The duo of Evolzar Laggia and Evolzar Dolkka are extremely tough to handle, threatening to negate big chunks of your gameplan.  A Dino Rabbit Duelist can use Rescue Rabbit to Xyz Summon Evolzar Laggia first turn, then Summon Tour Guide from the Underworld next turn, unleashing Leviair the Sea Dragon to bring back the Rabbit; Special Summon a pair of Sabersaurus; and then attack for exactly 8000 Battle Damage.

How do you stop something like that?  It’s not easy, but Dino Rabbit can be beaten.  Here are three strategies you can use to outplay one of the today’s toughest Decks.

Wind-Up Rabbit is a master of evasion. Nearly any time it’s in danger, it can use its effect to banish itself to safety. But, like every other monster, Wind-Up Rabbit has its weaknesses. If you exploit those weaknesses, you should have no problem taking down Wind-Up Rabbit.

Defeating the Evolzars!

Dinosaurs are fierce, and Dragons are fiercer. But Dragons made up of Dinosaurs? They might be the most dangerous monsters of all.

That’s what the Evolzars are. Evolzar Laggia and Evolzar Dolkka are both Dragon-type Xyz Monsters that can be Summoned by combining 2 Level 4 Dinosaurs. They’re easy to Summon, and their unique powers make them tough to take down. But even though they have a lot of inherent protection, they’re not invincible!

Watch out for Ultimate Offering!

In the middle rounds of a YCS you can come up against anything. Any Deck with a reasonably solid strategy can make it to 4-0 or 3-1, but some powerful Decks have large weaknesses to 1 or more popular Decks, making it difficult for their pilots to finish the day with only 1 or 2 losses. That’s what makes the middle rounds of Day 1 so dangerous: you might take a day-ending loss to an extremely powerful Deck that you discounted due to its bad match-up with another popular Deck. For example, you might think that Infernity Decks won’t be popular due to their weakness to Gravekeeper Decks, but if you aren’t playing Gravekeeper’s yourself , this might happen.
Gadget Decks packing Ultimate Offering are another such surprise Deck that can take you out in a flash if you aren’t careful. Gadgets are traditionally a slow Deck that grinds through Duels, but thanks to Xyz Monsters and Ultimate Offering, they can beat you at any time.
