World Superstars – Front Row Seat

April 9th, 2015

The Star Seraphs debuted nearly two years ago in Judgment of the Light. They were a new group of LIGHT Fairy-Types from Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL that were really good at Special Summoning each other to make Rank 4 Xyz Summons. The Star Seraphs were fast, but they didn’t have many ways to search, draw, or recycle cards: that meant one or two Xyz Summons could run you out of cards. These celestial beings would shine bright for a turn or two, but they burned out too quickly to last in a long Duel.

Now World Superstars changes all that, introducing three new “Star Seraph” monsters that solve the theme’s biggest challenges. Read more…

Bujin Intrusion! The Second Wave

October 29th, 2013

Judgment of the Light’s Bujin monsters were very popular from the get-go. And now those Duelists are about to be rewarded with a massive second wave of cool Bujin cards in Shadow Specters! Read more…

And, thanks to Archfiend Emperor, the First Lord of Horror, Archfiends can muscle through just about anything. Now, Shadow Specters has a new offering of cards to grant even more power to the Archfiends, or any Fiend Deck! Read more…

The Best Defense is 0 DEF

October 1st, 2013

We’ve spoken before about Masked Chameleon, a cool card from Judgment of the Light that gives Debris Dragon a run for its money.  When you Normal Summon the Chameleon, you can target a 0 DEF monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it.  Whatever you revive will hit the field in Defense Position with its effect negated, but since Masked Chameleon’s a Level 4 Tuner, you can immediately make a powerful Synchro Summon.  If the monster you brought back was Level 4, you can even overlay for a Rank 4 Xyz, too.

Chameleon’s really good right now, because the monsters it unleashes are awesome at taking on some of the most popular Decks:
