Monday Night Matchup: Lightsworn vs. Volcanic Quickdraw

December 6th, 2010

Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Atlanta was the last YCS of 2010 and many Duelists were trying to make the Top 32 with something new and innovative to give everybody something new to think about over the winter holidays. Also, Starstrike Blast made its competitive debut that and almost every Deck out there made use of new cards like Formula Synchron, Glow-Up Bulb and Shooting Star Dragon. Two of the more interesting Decks to make Top 8 at YCS Atlanta were Lightsworn and Volcanic Quickdraw. We haven’t really seen much of Lightsworn over the last 10 months, and after losing in the Semifinals of YCS San Jose, Volcanic Quickdraw had been off the map as well. It’s a quest for redemption for these two incredibly powerful Decks, head to head in tonight’s Monday Night Matchup!

The Volcanic cards open up a whole load of possibilities for Quickdraw Duelists.

If you aren’t careful “Judgment Dragon” can cause some serious damage. Read more…

Deck Update: What’s New With Lightsworn Decks (Part 1)

January 11th, 2010

Lightsworn Decks have been doing very well in tournaments for the past year or so, winning many National Championships around the world this year, and making it to the Top 16 of numerous SHONEN JUMP Championships as well. And for the first time ever, a Lightsworn Deck won the SHONEN JUMP Championship in Los Angeles this past weekend. The main reason for Lightsworns’ success is that the Deck has a very wide range of powerful cards that allow it to win games very quickly, and Duelists have tried many different things with these cards to help give them an edge in tournaments.
