Monsters with effects that can be used while they’re in the Graveyard are usually very powerful. The ability to spring an effect on an opponent by using nothing but the cards in your Graveyard can give you a huge advantage in a Duel. Necro Defender is a monster with one of those effects. Any time you get lucky when sending cards from your Deck to the Graveyard and you strike a Necro Defender, you’ll open up a new play without using a card in your hand.

During your Main Phase, you can remove from play this card from your Graveyard to select 1 monster you control. Until your opponent’s next End Phase, that monster cannot be destroyed by battle, and you take no Battle Damage from battles involving it.

Lightsworn Decks have been doing very well in tournaments for the past year or so, winning many National Championships around the world this year, and making it to the Top 16 of numerous SHONEN JUMP Championships as well. And for the first time ever, a Lightsworn Deck won the SHONEN JUMP Championship in Los Angeles this past weekend.
