Congratulations to our YCS San Diego Dragon Duel Champion!

 

Dylan Graves bested the competition, and his brother Dawson Graves in the final using his ABC Deck, to take home the Championship Trophy!

Reader, do we have an amazing Match for you or what. It’s yesterday’s Dragon Duel winner Dawson Graves, up against today’s winner and Dawson’s brother, Dylan Graves! These two Duelists are from nearby Bakersfield. Only one of them can become the YCS San Diego Dragon Duel Champion – this is sibling rivalry at its finest. Dawson is playing a Pendulum Magician Deck, while Dylan has chosen SPYRAL. The victor will not only become Champion – he’ll also get a trophy and one of each of the Darklord YCS Prize Cards!

YCS San Diego: Round 10 Feature Match: Esteban Vences Brito vs. Edward Carlos Schumm III

Only one round of Swiss remains! These two Duelists are on the bubble, each with 8-2 records. A win is needed here for a shot at the Top 32. We have Esteban Vences, from Santa Ana, CA, playing Pendulum Magicians. The Deck was unquestionably the strongest, but once Circuit Break released a SPYRAL Link Monster,  all that went out the window. He’s showing that’s it’s still a consistent and powerful Deck, and so far it’s worked very well for him. His opponent is Edward Schumm, from San Luis Rio Colorado, in Sonora, Mexico. He’s using a Trickstar Deck packing Windwitch cards. This should be a great Match!

Welcome to Day 2 of YCS San Diego! Adam Belohradsky is a talented Duelist from Fullerton, CA, who has multiple YCS top cut placings. He’s been on a break from Dueling, but is back this weekend with SPYRAL! His opponent is Kesavan Kushalnagar, from Rochester, NY. We saw last saw Kushalnagar when he made the Top 8 at the UDS Invitational in Orlando, becoming the first person to make the top cut of a premier event with Trickstars. Read more…

It’s the final round of Swiss! We’ve got Toronto Duelist Matthew Vanden Heuvel, packing a combination SPYRAL + Pendulum Magician strategy. He’s looking to get the best of both worlds by mixing the two top strategies from the last few months. His opponent is Elroi Felicitas, from right here in San Diego. He’s packing a World Chalice Deck, looking to combo off with a ton of Link Summons!
