Round 1 Feature Match: Jeffrey Leonard (Team OneMorePiece) Versus Aleksander Roytburd (Team Droll No Lock)

Welcome to TEAM YCS Las Vegas! To kick things off, we have Aleksander Roytburd representing Team Droll No Lock with his Snake-Eyes Fire King Deck, featuring several new cards from Phantom Nightmare. He’s playing against Jeffrey Leonard of Team OneMorePiece, who chose to forgo the beloved Exodia the Forbidden One strategy he piloted in a spectacular feature match at YCS Indianapolis last year, for a Deck with Naturia and P.U.N.K. cards instead, aiming to end the game quickly with the effect of Phantasmal Lord Ultimitl Bishbaalkin.

With two fast-paced strategies set to clash, who will be able to take a win in the first round of TEAM YCS Las Vegas? Let’s find out! It’s time to Duel!

Finals Feature Match: Kody Manabe Versus Jesse Kotton

We’re now at the end! 731 Duelists entered, and we’re down to the final two Duelists standing in the finals of YCS Vancouver! Kody Manabe and Jesse Kotton have each torn through the competition this weekend with their Unchained decks, and now they will face off in the last Duel of the weekend. Only one of these Duelists will come out on top, and walk away with a championship trophy and an Ultra Rare Anotherverse Gluttonia Prize Card. It’s time to Duel!

Top 32 Feature Match: Jesse Kotton Versus Christian Urena

Here on Day 2 of YCS Vancouver, we’re moving on to the Top 32! Jesse Kotton and Christian Urena are both seasoned Yu-Gi-Oh! veterans, each with multiple YCS victories under their belts, but only one of them will move on to the Top 16. Each of these players are playing Unchained, a powerful strategy that’s become extremely popular with new support released in Duelist Nexus.

QQ: Time Wizard April 2010 Format Favourites!

QQ stands for Quick Questions! Here at YCS Vancouver, one of the most popular Public Events is the Time Wizard April 2010 Advanced Format tournament. This Format was used at the 75th YCS in Edison, New Jersey, and it’s become a very popular Time Wizard Public Event that tons of players have chosen to participate in this weekend.

With the original events having taken place over a decade ago, there are many iconic cards that don’t see play in 2023, but used to wreak havoc back in April 2010! This weekend, we asked some Duelists participating in the Time Wizard Public Events about their favourite cards to use in that particular format. Round 8 Feature Match: Ryan Yu Versus Batuhan Senkesen

It’s Round 8 at YCS Vancouver, and we have another exciting Feature Match with two players that are currently still undefeated. Ryan Yu’s playing Dragon Link, but the big surprise is Batuhan Senkesen with Blackwings! Can he remain undefeated going into Day 2? Or will Ryan’s Dragons clip Senkesen’s wings? Let’s find out!

Saturday’s ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!! Winners

September 9th, 2023

One of the most popular events of the weekend in the Advanced Format is the ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!! tournament! The dust has settled here at Day 1 of YCS Vancouver, and we have an oversized version of each Volcanic Emperor and Ursarctic Polar Star, as well as a Giant-sized copy of Volcanic Emperor, claimed by three Duelists!

There will be another set of oversized cards, and one more Giant card, available for players to compete for tomorrow in Sunday’s ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!! tournament.

Congratulations to all of the Duelists that competed in the ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!! tournament today, and a special congratulations to John Rumrill, Manpreet Rattan, and Nathan Pinedo for taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively!

Round 5 Feature Match: Marcus Siu Versus Ryan Leung

It’s Round 5 here at YCS Vancouver, and Marcus Siu and Ryan Leung are both currently undefeated at 4-0. Each of these two players is from British Columbia, and each of them is aiming to take home the title as the winner of their first home-town YCS!

Round 2 Feature Match: Jesse Swynar Versus Chris Zhang

For our Round 2 Feature Match, Jesse Swynar was up against Chris Zhang! Both of these players won their first round here at YCS Vancouver, and were looking to stay hot at the start of the tournament by securing a 2-0 record.

Swynar won the dice roll and decided to go first. In his opening had, he had Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, Kashtira Birth, Tearlaments Kashtira, Infinite Impermanence, and Dimension Shifter. He decided to pass his turn without activating a single card!
