North America WCQ: Dragon Duel Top 4 Feature Match – McIntee vs. Oswald

This is the most important Duel of these young Duelists’ lives. 11-year-old Colin McIntee from Lakeland, Florida is Dueling against 13-year-old Lucas Oswald from St. Louis, Missouri. Colin practices at Johnny B’s Cards, Comics, and Sports, an Official Tournament Store in Florida, while Lucas Duels at his local Official Tournament Store, Yeti Gaming. Official Tournament Stores are a great place for young Duelists like Colin and Lucas to practice their skills.  You can find an Official Tournament Store near you by checking here. This is what they’ve been training for. The winner of this Match will earn an invitation to the 2019 World Championship in Berlin, Germany, along with paid travel and accommodations for him and a parent/guardian. The other Duelist will be eliminated. It’s time to Duel!

North America WCQ: Who’s in 64th Place?!

For the first time ever at a North America WCQ, after 12 Rounds of Swiss, there is a TIE for 64th place!

Tavin Gadsby and William Rodriguez, both of whom achieved 9-3 records in the Swiss Rounds, have identical tiebreakers! They will be playing off in a Match against one another to determine which Duelist will take that final spot in the Top 64, and which Duelist will be eliminated. You can watch this important Match on the Live Stream to see which Duelist will be in the Top Cut!

Welcome to the Final Day of the 2019 North America WCQ!

Welcome to the final day of the 2019 North America WCQ! 256 Duelists have returned to continue competing in the North America WCQ. Those Duelists will play 3 Swiss Rounds followed by a Top 64 cut. Young Duelists competing in Dragon Duels returned today for a Top 32 cut, in which 5 single-elimination rounds will determine a winner!

They categorized each Deck by “Main Type” and, if applicable, “Sub Types”; but for the purposes of this article and the simplification of the statistics involved, we’ll focus on the “Main Type” used by this weekend’s competitors.
