Deck Types at the WCQ – South America

Here are some Deck types that we’ve been seeing at the WCQ – South America.

Dominating the tournament floor are all types of Decks using Tengu. We’re seeing some variations, such as Tengu Scraps, Tengu T.G., Tengu Frog Monarchs, Tengu Blackwings, Tengu Fableds and Tengu Gadgets. We’re also seeing some interesting Decks too such as Agent Fairy, Stun, Worm, Flamvell, Watt, Morthtronics, and Karakuri, as well as more familiar Decks such as the Six Samurai, Dragunity, Gravekeepers, Machina Gadgets, Blackwings and X-Sabers.

As Round 4 begins in the Main Event, the Public Events have kicked off. First up is the Retro Draft. This is the first time a sealed event for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME has been offered in Latin America, and the Duelists are liking it!

Signups have started for Win-A-Mat and ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!! and Duelists are eyeing the 3 Giant Cards on display. This weekend, we are offering the 3 prize cards that the Top 4 players will be getting: Meklord Emperor Granel, T.G. Hyper Librarian and Meklord Astro Mekanikle. Let’s see which one of these are claimed first!

Welcome to the World Championship Qualifier – South America!

Welcome to the World Championship Qualifier – South America! This year, the host is Sao Paulo, Brazil, the first time such a large Yu-Gi-Oh! tournament has been held.

Yesterday, we held the Last-Chance Qualifiers for Duelists vying for a spot in the Main Event on Saturday. Some of these Duelists traveld from Argentina, Chile and Venezuela, hoping against hope that they will be able to participate in the WCQ.

Today, the Main Event has gotten under way. As with the WCQ – Central America, we’ve gotten a large number of countries represented: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, and the host country, Brazil.

Stay tuned to see who will be our representative from South America to the World Championship 2011!
