We don’t have much time here in Round 11, but here’s one more Top Tables Update before we head to the Top 64!
We don’t have much time here in Round 11, but here’s one more Top Tables Update before we head to the Top 64!
Let’s look at the breakdown at the top ten tables this morning, here in our first round of Day 2! Only the top three tables are undefeated, while 7-1 Duelists rank all the way down to Table 29, so competition is fierce here in Round 9.
Round 8 is the last Round of competition here today! Tomorrow we’ll see three more Rounds of Swiss competition, followed by a cut to Top 64. For now, only twelve duelists remain undefeated at Tables 1 through 6. Here’s what they’re playing…
Here in Round 7, only the top twelve tables are still undefeated, and Dragon Rulers remain dominant! Here’s the breakdown of the top ten tables:
Dragon Rulers – 12 Undefeated
Prophecy – 4 Undefeated
Evilswarms – 2 Undefeated
Constellars – 1 Undefeated
Anti-Meta Beat – 1 Undefeated
The table-by-table matchups are as follows…
Here in Round 6 Dragon Rulers have stormed the top tables, but Constellars still continue to be a surprising presence! While thirteen of the top twenty seats were occupied by Dragon Rulers, two were still held by undefeated Constellar Duelists, actually outperforming Evilswarm in this limited sampling. Competitors all the way down to Table 25 are currently undefeated, so everything at this stage is still pretty preliminary. Regardless, I’m not sure many were expecting a notable Constellar presence this far into the tournament, so it’s a story we’ll keep our eye on this weekend.
Looking at the top tables one round later, we can see that Prophecy and Dragon Rulers are holding strong, but that Richard Kraus is still undefeated with Six Samurai. We’ll see more of him in Round 6, when we put him to the test in our next main event Feature Match.
As the tournament continues, the Duelists with the best records are seated at the lowest-numbered tables. That means that as the Rounds progress, the competitors with the best rankings creep closer and closer to Table 1. Now that we’re in Round 4, let’s take a look at some of the undefeated players and what they’re running!
