Local Duelist Daniel Coronel is about to Duel against Ivan Alvarez from the Dominican Republic in the Finals of this year’s Dragon Duel World Championship Qualifier. Both of these young Duelists are only 11 years old, but the experience at stake is one that they’ll remember for the rest of their lives. The winner of this Match will have the opportunity to compete in the 2014 Yu-Gi-Oh! In our Round 3 Dragon Duel Feature Match, we saw 11-year-old Daniel Coronel Contreras defeat 2013 World Championship competitor Marco Ruiz to advance undefeated in the tournament. Now, Daniel’s older brother Juan is sitting at the Feature Match table, Dueling for his chance to advance with a 3-1 record and a shot at a Top 4 finish.

13-year-old Marco Ruiz from Costa Rica took third place in last year’s Dragon Duel World Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada. Now he’s 2-0 in this year’s Dragon Duel, competing to return to the World Championship. But 11-year-old local Duelist Daniel Coronel Contreras from Guadalajara also holds a 2-0 record, and dreams big of making it to the World Championship in Italy.
