Dragon Duel 3rd/4th Playoff Feature Match: Ian Parish vs Connor Perrotta

The Finals might be going on, but the stakes are just as high right here, for the 3rd and 4th place playoff of the Dragon Duel North American WCQ! The winner here will qualify to play in the World Championship! It’s Ian Parish, from Arnold, MO, up against Connor Perrotta from Lee, NY. Both Dragon Duelists are using Burning Abyss Decks. Parish is using the most common variant lately, packed with Phantom Knights. Perrotta decided to forego the Phantom Knights, giving him more space to use cards like Fiendish Rhino Warrior, Horn of Heaven, and Mask Change II.

Dragon Duel Top 4 Feature Match: Ian Parish versus John Wilkin

Out of all of our talented Dragon Duelists, only four remain! There are three invitations available to the World Championship, so a victory here will guarantee them an invite. The losing Duelist here will still have a shot, but they’ll have to win the playoff for 3rd place. But that’s later, this is now! We have Ian Parish, from Arnold, Missouri, against John Wilkin from Toronto, Ontario. Parish has come this far thanks to his Burning Abyss Deck, with the added power of Phantom Knights and Speedroids to make a lot of strong Xyz plays possible. Wilkin is using Monarchs, specifically the more popular version that uses Brilliant Fusion and a full Extra Deck.

Dragon Duel Top 4 Feature Match: Aiden Tiemann versus Connor Perrotta

Both Aiden Tiemann and Connor Perrotta have Dueled their hearts out to make it this far. The winner of this match will guarantee their invite to the Dragon Duel World Championship in Orlando, Florida; the other will need to win his 3rd/4th place play-off match to get his invitation. Twelve year old Aiden Tiemann traveled from Austin, Texas this weekend, and has brought Performapals to the tournament. The premier Pendulum strategy, Performapals focus on strong combos and powerful Rank 4 plays to overwhelm the opponent. Eleven year old Connor Perrota made the trip from Lee, New York, and has chosen Burning Abyss as his weapon of choice. Can the evil Malebranches best the jovial Performapals? Or will the silly Pendulums reign supreme over the dastardly Fiends?
