Welcome to the final round of Swiss for today here at the North America WCQ! We have Kamal Crooks and Giovanni Gonzalez, two South Florida Duelists. Crooks is using a Zoodiac strategy, while Gonzalez is playing True Draco. These are the two most popular strategies this weekend, so this Match is rather indicative of the rest of the tournament.

For this Feature Match, we’re spotlighting Billy Brake! This Dallas Duelist has had a great year in Yu-Gi-Oh!, with multiple YCS wins and top cuts. He’s currently in second place in World Qualifying Points, so he’s got a fantastic chance at going to the World Championship. He’s using a True Draco Deck today, and he’s against another True Draco Deck piloted by Alfie Danklefsen, from St. Louis! We’ve seen Danklefsen several times in major events recently, such as when he took second place at the last UDS Championship.

Welcome to the North America World Championship Qualifier! For Round 1, we’re kicking things off with the most iconic card of all: Dark Magician! Jhas Corbitt is using Yugi’s signature monster with the new Apprentice Illusion Magician. Hailing from Columbus, OH, he got his invitation to the WCQ at an Indianapolis Regional Qualifier. Also, this is his first ever WCQ! His opponent is John Leong, here from Hawaii! He’s using a strategy that mixes Dinosaurs, True Kings, and Zoodiac. He actually qualified for the WCQ just yesterday at one of the Last Chance Qualifiers! Better late than never!
