For this Dragon Duel Top 8 Feature Match, we’re seeing a rematch. Ryan Yu, from Toronto, played against Diego Diaz, from Las Vegas, yesterday in the Swiss rounds. Diaz’s Zoodiacs defeated Yu’s Pendulum Magicians in that Match, but can he do it again?

The North America WCQ is the final major event before the World Championship, and the Duelists are continuing to adapt their strategies do get an edge on the competition. Here are the trends we’re seeing this weekend.
Welcome to Day 2 of the North America WCQ!

We’re on the second day of the North America WCQ, and there’s a lot more Dueling action to be had! We completed nine Swiss rounds yesterday, and the top 256 Duelists advanced to today. There will be three more Swiss rounds today, then we’ll make the cut to the Top 64. From there, it’s single elimination, and at the end the top four Duelists will receive their invitations to the World Championship! There are a ton of talented Duelists still in competition, such as YCS Champions Aaron Furman, Anderson Tsang, and Elvis Vu, just to name a few.

North America WCQ – Round 9 Feature Match: Kamal Crooks vs. Giovanni Gonzalez

Welcome to the final round of Swiss for today here at the North America WCQ! We have Kamal Crooks and Giovanni Gonzalez, two South Florida Duelists. Crooks is using a Zoodiac strategy, while Gonzalez is playing True Draco. These are the two most popular strategies this weekend, so this Match is rather indicative of the rest of the tournament.
