A loss here will knock a Duelist out of contention, so it’s high stakes for the next 6 Rounds! Ryan Gaskins from Sioux City, Iowa placed 11th after Swiss with a record of 9-1-1 with a Dinosaur Deck while his opponent, Russel Novak-Burdick from Sacramento, California placed 54th after Swiss with a record of 8-2-1 with Sky Striker Trickstars. We’re at Round 11, the final round of Swiss. After this match, only the Top 64 players will advance to the Single Elimination playoff with the top 4 players qualifying for this year’s World Championship! Brian Rayos from Los Angeles, California has Sky Striker Trickstars, a variation of the Deck he used to top YCS Dallas, the event in which he earned his WCQ invite. We just saw his opponent, Gabriel Vargas on a livestream Feature Match and he has Gouki Deck. A win will solidify a spot in the Top Cut. It’s time to Duel!
It’s Day 2 of the North American World Championship Qualifier! We’ve cut to the top 190 Duelists who had 19 Points at the end of Round 9. We’re playing 2 more rounds of Swiss before cutting to the Top 64!
