It all comes down to this! Can Jefferson Salas win on his home turf of Peru, using the underdog Pendulum Magician Deck? Or will Chile’s Diego Venegas pilot his Sky Striker Trickstar Deck to the World Championship? It’s time to Duel!
This is it – the road to the World Championship ends here! Mathias Rivadeneira, from Ecuador, is using True Draco. He’s facing Peruvian Duelist Diego Romero and his Pendulum Deck. Only one Duelist can move on from here – it’s time to Duel!
Here are the remaining eight Duelists and the Decks they’re using.
We have two Peruvian Duelists for our Top 16 Feature Match. Martin Lira is one of two remaining Pendulum Magician Duelists, while Jose Alva is playing Sky Striker Trickstars. It’s last format’s dominant strategy against the new hotness – what will triumph?
Here are the Top 64 Duelists, their countries of origin (where available), and the Decks they’re using.
For our first round, we’re featuring Jhon Vargas, from Venezuala. Vargas is one of only two Duelists to make it to the Top 64 with ABC! He’s facing Federico Vergara, from Colombia, who’s using Burning Abyss! This will be a very different Match from the usual Trickstar matchups we’ve encountered this weekend – let’s see how the Duelists adapt to a more unique opponent.
Welcome to Day 2 of the South American World Championship Qualifier! After nine Swiss rounds yesterday, our Duelists have been reduced to only the Top 64 – from here, the tournament is single elimination. Duelists will need all their skill, luck, and heart to win six rounds in a row and earn the right to represent South America at the World Championship in Japan!
We’re about to begin today’s first round – it’s time to Duel!
