On January 21^st we will implement an updated events-only Limited List for all Speed Duel events being held at the January Latin America Remote Duel YCS and the January North America Remote Duel Main Event.

The Limited List is legal on the weekend of January 21^st and at future Tier-2 and higher events.
Duelists must comply with the list if they wish to participate in the January Latin America Remote Duel YCS Speed Duel Public Events or the January North America Speed Duel Main Event.  

After the events, Official Tournament Stores will be able to use the list for Time Wizard Speed Duel tournaments.

Welcome back to class, Duelists! The Speed Duel GX: Midterm Paradox Mini Box is just around the corner headed your way today October 7, and we’re giving you one more article that’s chock full of reveals! We already covered the main characters – Jaden Yuki, Syrus Truesdale, Bastion Misawa, and the Paradox Brothers – but there are a couple more familiar faces in Midterm Paradox. In addition to the 10 Skill Cards for those characters, you’ll also find two more: one for Chumley Huffington in his Speed Duel debut and one that pairs Jaden & Syrus together in a single Skill Card!

These two bonus Skills don’t have pre-built Decks in Midterm Paradox, but you will find extra cards both in this set, and the original Speed Duel GX: Duel Academy Box to build them yourself. There are also more Speed Duel cards that can help you customize your favorite Decks: some to flesh out the characters and give a few nods to key moments in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, and some that are going to make an impact on competitive Speed Dueling.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves: the first thing on today’s syllabus is a fan-favorite Duelist with a surprising strategy.

The Speed Duel GX: Midterm Paradox Mini Box is coming out on October 7, packed with 100 Speed Duel cards and 12 new Skills; some for returning characters from the Speed Duel GX: Duel Academy Box, and some for Duelists making their Speed Duel debut! Each box even comes with 4 Secret Rares from a set of 12, all paying homage to these iconic heroes and rivals.

In Midterm Paradox 101 last week, we showed you the new Skill Cards for Jaden and Syrus. We talked about how their pre-built Decks work, and how you can build your own Decks for those two characters. But grab your notebook and get ready to study up, because today’s lesson will teach you all about the remaining featured Duelists in Midterm Paradox Bastion Misawa and the Paradox Brothers.

The Speed Duel: Battle City Box and the Speed Duel GX: Duel Academy Box changed the landscape of Speed Dueling.  Two massive boxed sets, both with more than 200 Speed Duel cards, they each offered a ton of value, a great way to jump into Speed Duels, and a one-box experience to bring Yu-Gi-Oh! to your game night. Each one had great Secret Rares too – cards that were popular for historic Time Wizard formats, making them collectible and a blast to open.

Now, for the first time ever, the Speed Duel Box concept is getting a spinoff! The new Speed Duel GX: Midterm Paradox Mini Box arrives October 6*, loaded with new cards and new Skills for characters that made their Speed Duel debut in the Duel Academy Box. It also introduces new Yu-Gi-Oh! GX characters to Speed Duels, and sneaks in some awesome cards to shake up the competition.

We are quickly approaching the release of Speed Duel GX: Midterm Paradox, the first small box expansion for Speed Duels! Along with Midterm Paradox, Speed Duel Tournament Pack 4 is set to be released towards the end of September.

Last November, we announced that 3 Skill cards would receive text updates. Today we’re announcing the next 6 Skill Cards that will receive card text updates. These Skills are clarified, simplified, or modified to work within the updated rules for Skill Cards introduced with the Speed Duel GX: Duel Academy Box.

Get ready Speed Duelists, on September 10^th-11^th YCS Niagara Falls will implement an event-only Limited List for all Speed Duel Public Events held at YCS Niagara Falls!

Copies of the list will be available at the Public Events stage for Duelists to reference. 

We are less than 1 week away from the April 1^st release of the Speed Duel GX: Duel Academy Box, each packed with 200 Speed Duel cards, 20 all-new Skill Cards, and 8 collectible Secret Rares.

Over the last two weeks we’ve looked at all eight of the starring-role characters:  Jaden Yuki, Aster Phoenix, Chazz Princeton, Jesse Anderson, Zane Truesdale, Alexis Rhodes, Dr.Vellian Crowler, and Axel Brodie. The Duel Academy Box has two Skill Cards and a complete Speed Duel Deck that’s ready to go for each of them!

But what would the adventures at Duel Academy be without a supporting cast? In addition to those eight central characters, you’ll find four more Skill Cards for completely different characters. And while they don’t have ready-to-play Decks, the Speed Duel GX: Duel Academy Box includes some of their signature cards to help you build your own strategies, and they’re just getting started! Some of these characters will return in September* – in time for back-to-school season – in the Speed Duel GX: Midterm Paradox Mini Box. Check ’em out.

The Speed Duel GX: Duel Academy Box is arriving on Arpil 1st, with a whopping 200 Speed Duel cards, 20 all-new Skill Cards, and 8 collectible Secret Rares per box. Last time around we showed you four characters making their Speed Duel debuts – Jaden, Aster, Chazz, and Jesse. We showed you their Skills, and what their Speed Duel Decks are all about.

This time we’re looking at four more characters featured in the Duel Academy Box, each with two unique Skills and an entire Deck of their own. Square off against your friends in sealed play, pick and choose the cards you want to work with to build your own Speed Duel Deck, or get in some draft Duels! Whatever you want to do, the Duel Academy Box makes it easy, and these four Duel Academy icons are going to play starring roles.

The Speed Duel: Battle City Box dropped back in December of 2020. It was a massive collection of over 200 Speed Duel cards, and a great jumping-on point for Deck building. It was also an 8-player sealed experience, perfect for Games Night! On top of that, it was a hit with collectors because each box came with 8 Secret Rares: 3 Egyptian God Cards, and 5 Secret Rare upgrades of cards from the set.

The Speed Duel GX: Duel Academy Box takes everything people loved about the Battle City Box and amps it up:

• It has 200 Speed Duel cards, and lots of them are new to Speed Dueling
• There are also 20 all-new Skill Cards
• It’s still got 8 Secret Rares in each box, but this time they’re all random

The next generation of Yu-Gi-Oh! Speed Duel arrives on March 18^th* with the launch of Speed Duel GX: Duel Academy Box.
