He’s running a Blackwing Deck in today’s tournament featuring newer cards like “Blackwing – Vayu the Emblem of Honor” in his Main Deck and “Blackwing – Silverwind the Ascendant” in his Extra Deck.

Five Lightsworn Decks made it to the Top 16 here today, and this Feature Match is a Lightsworn vs. Lightsworn mirror match. Brian Hines is wielding some new tech from Stardust Overdrive: “Shire, Lightsworn Spirit” and “Archlord Kristya.” If Hines can get Kristya into play he may have a big advantage over Ivan Anamaria’s Lightsworn. In theory, Kristya could give Hines the edge in reusing his “Honests” and could lock Anamaria out of his Special Summons. But with just 1 copy of Kristya in his Deck, would Hines even see the card in time to use it effectively? We were about to find out! Read more…

Satoshi Kato and Yahya Omar are both 7-2 headed into this round. Both competitors are playing Zombie variants, but while Omar is playing a more traditional Zombie build, Kato is running a new version of the Zombie Lightsworn Deck he played at SHONEN JUMP Championship Orlando.
