The main event has concluded, and Jeff Jones has won out over 2,174 other Duelists to win the 75th SHONEN JUMP Championship Tournament, with his Quickdraw Dandywarrior Deck!
Renaldo Lainez is the surprise success of the weekend, Dueling his way to the Finals with a Gadget Deck that doesn’t run any Machina monsters. Instead it plays Doomcaliber Knight, a card played in multiples in 2 of the Top 4 Decks. “People like surprises,” remarked Lainez. “I think it’s a good way to end it, don’t you think?” Lainez himself was a tremendous surprise, coming out of nowhere to defeat some of the greatest Duelists of the weekend.

Michael Anderson is the last of a contingent of Duelists from Seattle, Washington who came to this tournament, while Stephen Silverman traveled here all the way from Philadelphia. After Twilight swept SHONEN JUMP Championship Columbus, both of these competitors are playing pure Lightsworn Decks – no Chaos Sorcerers and no Dark Armed Dragons! Our final Match today features the LIGHT side of the Lightsworn against their DARK side, facing off for the title of SHONEN JUMP Championship winner. Morandice Black is playing a pure Lightsworn Deck, teching copies of “My Body As A Shield,” “Lightning Vortex,” and “Phantom of Chaos” in his Main Deck.
Bowling is playing a Twilight Deck with “Chaos Sorcerer” as his DARK monster of choice, plus “Burial From a Different Dimension” and “Shiny Black “C”.” The Sorcerers, Vortex, and “My Body As A Shields” should be especially good against a pure Lightsworn Deck, so they could be game-breakers. Rodrigo Togores traveled from Europe this weekend with his sights set on leaving Orlando as SHONEN JUMP Championship winner! Packing a Blackwing Deck with two copies of “Blackwing – Vayu the Emblem of Honor,” Togores chose not to run “Burial From a Different Dimension,” a popular card for many other Blackwing Duelists that played in this tournament. “Black Whirlwind” has paid off hugely for Togores all weekend long, and now he’s just two wins away from capturing the Championship.
But his opponent is Herman Herrera, bringing the tournament’s most successful Vayu Turbo Deck to the Finals! A lot of Duelists doubted the power of this “Armageddon Knight” / “Dark Grepher” Blackwing Deck, but Herrera has delivered on the hype, and smashed opponent after opponent to claim his place in the finals!
