More than 2100 Duelists arrived here yesterday to compete in the biggest SHONEN JUMP Championship of all time. Now, only 32 remain, including competitors like 3-time SHONEN JUMP Champion Jerry Wang. Today, Wang is playing a Quickdraw variant with Super-Nimble Mega Hamsters in his Main Deck.
His opponent is Ivan Anamaria, a veteran Duelist who made Day 2 in SHONEN JUMP Championship Columbus. Anamaria is running an aggressive Machina Gadget Deck with Solidarity, capable of generating some explosive OTKs. This one was anybody’s Match, and the winner would move on to the Top 16! Our Round 12 Feature Match pits Money Smith’s Six Samurai Deck against Patrick Clarey’s Dandysworns. The relentless aggression of Six Samurais and the 3 copies of Starlight Road in Smith’s Main Deck may make this a tough Match for Clarey, but he’ll be fighting his hardest to win this Match and stay in the tournament. “You’re running Samurais!” Clarey yelled as Smith walked to the Feature Match table. Lightsworn Decks got hit pretty hard by the most recent Forbidden & Limited List, but Duelists everywhere are still determined to find a way to play Judgment Dragon and exploit its power. Patrick Clarey is one of those Duelists, and he finished 10-2 in the tournament. To replace the lost copies of Charge of the Light Brigade, Necro Gardna, and Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner, Clarey added a whole new engine to his Deck, which now plays Dandylion, Quickdraw Synchron, and Light and Darkness Dragon.
