Round 4 Feature Match: Esala Wathuthantrige vs. Nestor Tambassopoulos

Esala Wathuthantrige is no stranger to competitive Dueling. He competed in the 2017 World Championship in Tokyo, Japan by accumulating the most World Championship Points in North America, and now he’s competing in this weekend’s UDS Invitational with his Pendulum Magician Deck. His opponent, Nestor Tambassopoulos from Long Island, New York Duels in a lot of local tournaments and Regional Qualifiers, and recently achieved a Top 8 finish with Trickstars in a Regional Qualifier. Now, he’s Dueling with an ABC Deck that uses 3 copies of Honest and 2 copies of Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning thanks to the new F&L List. It’s time to Duel!

Round 3 Feature Match: Aaron Furman vs. Perry Divan

For this Round 3 Feature Match, we’ve got another reigning Ultimate Duelist, Aaron Furman! He’s come down from New Jersey to enter this event with his True Draco Kozmo Deck. He’s up against Perry Divan, from nearby Ocala, Florida, who’s using an Invoked Kaiju strategy. It’s time to Duel!

Round 2 Feature Match: Joseph Chou vs. Ezequiel Carranza

Joseph Chou is the defending UDS Champion, having won the UDS Invitational – Winter 2017 in Las Vegas back in March. Now he’s here to defend his title! Since he received a Bye in the first Swiss Round by redeeming 200 UDS Points, he’s about to Duel against his first opponent of the weekend – local Duelist Ezequiel Carranza. Chou is using a True Draco Spellbook Deck that he hopes will allow the tried-and-True Draco Deck to maintain its dominance under the new Forbidden & Limited List, while his opponent, Ezequiel Carranza, is using a Pendulum Magician Deck that many Duelists believe has been made powerful by the new Forbidden & Limited List. Which strategy will prevail in this Round 2 Feature Match? We’re about to find out. It’s time to Duel!

Round 1 Feature Match: Kesavan Kushalnagar vs. Franklin Behm

Welcome to the 2017 UDS Summer Invitational! This is one of the first major events under the new rules for Link Monsters and the Extra Monster Zones, and also the first event under the new Forbidden & Limited List! This format is entirely undefined, so it’ll be very interesting to see how Duelists have adapted.

For Round 1, we’ve got Kesavan Kushalnagar, from Rochester, New York, who usually judges. He’s here as a Duelist this time, using Trickstars! He’s facing Franklin Behm from Chicago, Illinois, who brought Kozmo Draco to the table. It’s a brand new strategy up against an old one that has been updated to take advantage of new cards. It’s time to Duel!
