The Top 4 of the Undisputed UDS Championship is About to Begin!

Yesterday, 16 UDS Invitational winners competed in 6 Swiss Rounds. Competition was fierce, and with a UDS Championship ring on the line, each of those Duelists fought their hardest. Now, we’re down to just 4 Duelists.

Cameron Neal, Andres Torres, Juan Andrade, and Jesse Kotton have returned for the final day of the Quarter Century Celebration for a showdown that will determine who will become the undisputed ultimate Duelist! Each of these Duelists is just two Match wins away from claiming that prestigious title and taking home the ring.

There will be a total of three single-elimination Matches played today – two Top 4 Matches, followed by the Finals. All three Matches will be streamed on the Official Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG YouTube Channel and Twitch Channel, so be sure to tune in and watch the rest of the Undisputed UDS Championship unfold!

Round 6 Feature Match: Joseph Chou vs. Juan Andrade

Joseph Chou is from Salt Lake City, Utah and won the UDS Invitational in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2017. In this Final Swiss Round of the Undisputed UDS Championship, he’s Dueling against Juan Andrade from Ecuador, who won the 2016 UDS Invitational in his home country. Both of these Duelists have at least 3 wins so far in the tournament and they are both in contention for making the Top Cut and becoming the undisputed ultimate Duelist. They’ll be giving this Match their all! It’s time to Duel!

Round 5 Feature Match: Ryan Murakami vs. Aaron Furman

Ryan Murakami from Torrence, California won a UDS Invitational in Los Angeles with his Kozmo Deck several years ago, earning him a chance to compete in this weekend’s prestigious tournament. Now he’s facing off against Aaron Furman from Sherwood Forest, California in this Round 5 Feature Match. Furman won a UDS Invitational in Chicago to earn his spot in this weekend’s Undisputed UDS Championship Tournament. Both Murakami and Furman took their respective UDS Invitational victories in 2016, and never could have imagined that their victories 8 years ago would earn them an invitation to Konami’s headquarters this weekend. Now, they’re Dueling against one another in a Match that will be crucial to win in order to maintain hope for a Top Cut finish. It’s time to Duel!

Round 3 Feature Match: Cameron Neal vs. Andres Torres

Cameron Neal from Dallas, Texas won the UDS Invitational in Kansas City in 2018. Now, he’s Dueling against Andres Torres, who won the UDS Invitational in Monterrey, Mexico in 2018. They’re both 2-0 in the Undisputed UDS Championship so far, and this Round’s Feature Match will pit Neal’s Fire King Snake-Eye Deck against Torres’s Branded Despia Deck. FIRE strategies are a likely favorite to win this weekend’s event, but Torres’s unexpected strategy and high level of skill may allow a Branded Despia strategy to score an upset this weekend. It’s time to Duel!

Round 2 Feature Match: Oscar Alexis Vargas Martinez vs. Paulo Roberto Goncalves da Silva

Sixteen Duelists are competing in the Undisputed UDS Championship Tournament, and thirteen of them, including Paulo Roberto Goncalves da Silva from Brazil, are using FIRE-based strategies. Oscar Vargas from Mexico, however, is using a Kashtira strategy that has been drastically altered since Kashtira Arise-Heart joined the Forbidden List. Vargas is using lots of tech cards like Dimension Shifter in his Deck, and he’s hoping those cards will be enough to help him defeat FIRE Decks in the tournament this weekend. Both of these Duelists are currently 1-0 in the tournament, and they’re looking for a second win in this Swiss Round to bring them closer to a Top Cut finish. It’s time to Duel!
