Pennsylvania’s Spencer Culwell is Dueling against New Jersey’s Ned Salkovitch in a Top 8 Feature Match that will determine which Duelist advances to the Top 4! Culwell is one of 2 Kozmo Duelists in the Top 8, taking advantage of the new cards in Clash of Rebellions to catch opponents off guard with his new strategy. Salkovitch, on the other hand, is using the tried-and-true Nekroz Deck that we saw him using in earlier Feature Matches. The stakes are high, as the Duelist who is defeated in this Match will be eliminated from the tournament and will be out of contention for the title of “Ultimate Duelist.” It’s time to Duel!

Jonathon Nagel from Colorado is currently 7-1-1 with his Burning Abyss Deck, and is presently the highest ranked Duelist in the tournament. Jarred Randolph from Delaware is 6-2-1 with his Nekroz Deck. This is the last round of the tournament before a cut to the Top 8. Although Nagel is virtually guaranteed to make it to the Top 8 regardless of the outcome of this Match, Randolph is likely facing elimination if Nagel defeats him here. That means Randolph will be giving this Match his all! It’s time to Duel!

Local Philadelphia Duelist Frazier Smith is Dueling against New Jersey’s Ned Salkovitch in our Round 9 Feature Match! Smith and Salkovitch both currently hold 5-2-1 records, leaving them in contention for a Top 8 finish for as long as they continue winning their Matches. But the dream will end for one of them, as only one of these two Duelists can gain the win needed for a Top 8 finish. It’s time to Duel!

Larry Merritt and Jeffrey Strain were in 17th place and 15th place respectively at the end of Day 1, so they’ll need some good luck and great tiebreakers to make it to the Top 8. But the journey to become the Ultimate Duelist will end for one of them right here, as they face off against one another in this Round 8 Feature Match! Each Duelist needs a victory here in order to remain in contention for the Top 8, but only one of these Duelists can get that victory. Merritt is using a Shaddoll Deck that features Performage Trick Clown, Performage Damage Juggler, and Performage Hat Tricker from Clash of Rebellions. Kevin Moyers from Virginia is Dueling against Vincent Bellafiore from Maryland in our Round 3 Feature Match! Moyers is using an all-new Kozmo Deck, featuring the new Kozmo monsters available in Clash of Rebellions. Bellafiore, on the other hand, is using a tried-and-true Burning Abyss Deck. Since Burning Abyss Decks typically contain lots of card effects that target monsters, including the effects of Fire Lake of the Burning Abyss and Farfa, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss, they generally have a tough time taking down Kozmo Forerunner, which can’t be targeted by an opponent’s card effects. Will Moyers be able to use his Forerunners to defeat Bellafiore and his infernal monsters? We’re about to find out. It’s time Duel!

Now, he’s Dueling against New Jersey’s YCS veteran Ned Salkovitch in our Round 1 Feature Match! Matrangolo is using an innovative Red-Eyes Deck that features several new cards from Clash of Rebellions, including The Black Stone of Legend, Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon, and Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon. Salkovitch is playing a Nekroz Deck – a Deck that has proven itself powerful under the previous Forbidden & Limited List, and that many Duelists believe is still a top contender in the Advanced Format.
