We let some of the Duelists who qualified for tomorrow’s Top 32 try on “The Belt” and see what it feels like to be the “Ultimate Duelist.” But tomorrow’s competition will be tough, as only one Duelist will walk away from this weekend with the Belt AND the Title.
Christopher Lin from Delaware is Dueling against Donovan Schneider from New Jersey in our Round 5 Feature Match! Both of these Duelists currently have 3-1 records, so a victory in this Swiss Round will put one of these Duelists in a great position for a Day 2 finish and a shot at the Top 8. Christopher Lin is using an innovative Infernoid Deck featuring Infernoid Decatron from Clash of Rebellions. His opponent, Donovan Schneider, is using an explosive Nekroz Deck that he adjusted for the new Advanced Format Forbidden & Limited List. It’s time to Duel!
Duelists have gathered here in Philadelphia this weekend to compete for lots of extraordinary prizes. But there’s one prize that has garnered the most attention, and that’s the Ultimate Duelist Championship Belt!
Kevin Moyers from Virginia is Dueling against Vincent Bellafiore from Maryland in our Round 3 Feature Match! Moyers is using an all-new Kozmo Deck, featuring the new Kozmo monsters available in Clash of Rebellions. Bellafiore, on the other hand, is using a tried-and-true Burning Abyss Deck. Since Burning Abyss Decks typically contain lots of card effects that target monsters, including the effects of Fire Lake of the Burning Abyss and Farfa, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss, they generally have a tough time taking down Kozmo Forerunner, which can’t be targeted by an opponent’s card effects. Will Moyers be able to use his Forerunners to defeat Bellafiore and his infernal monsters? We’re about to find out. It’s time Duel!

The Ultimate Duelist Series Qualifier is an 8-player single elimination Public Event that will be available at this weekend’s Invitational as well as future Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Tournaments!
Staten Island, New York’s Stephen Matrangolo qualified for this weekend’s tournament by racking up UDS points in Regional Qualifiers. Now, he’s Dueling against New Jersey’s YCS veteran Ned Salkovitch in our Round 1 Feature Match! Matrangolo is using an innovative Red-Eyes Deck that features several new cards from Clash of Rebellions, including The Black Stone of Legend, Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon, and Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon. Salkovitch is playing a Nekroz Deck – a Deck that has proven itself powerful under the previous Forbidden & Limited List, and that many Duelists believe is still a top contender in the Advanced Format. Will Matrangolo’s new strategy triumph over Salkovitch’s Nekroz Deck? We’re about to find out. It’s time to Duel!

Although a Duelist may enter the Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational – Summer 2015 with as few as 100 UDS Points, Duelists with more points are eligible for additional prizes. Duelists who use 150 UDS Points to participate will receive, in addition to their lanyard and pin, an Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational Medal that they can attach to their lanyard to commemorate their achievement.
