Patrick Hoban from Atlanta, Georgia won the North American WCQ in 2013 and has since then won 2 Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series events featuring Battle Pack 3: Monster League drafts in the Top 16. Consequently, he’s no stranger to Battle Pack 3: Monster League drafts. Now, he’s Dueling against rising star Jonathon Gomez from Southern California in a Final Match that will determine who becomes the champion of YCS Charleston. Will Hoban’s experience drafting Battle Pack 3: Monster League give him the edge? We’re about to find out. It’s time to Duel!
Vincent Riccardi and Nathanael Patton are both 12-year-old Duelists from North Carolina, and each of them took first place in one of this weekend’s Dragon Duel tournaments. In order to win their respective tournaments, each Duelist constructed a Deck out of cards from packs of Battle Pack 3: Monster League, and used that Deck to defeat several other young Duelists. But now, Riccardi and Patton are facing off using their Advanced Format Decks, in a Duel that will determine which one of them becomes the ultimate Dragon Duel Championship winner of the weekend. It’s time to Duel!
Take a look at the Top 4 Dragon Duelists for Sunday’s Dragon Duels here at YCS Charleston!

Congratulations to Jonathon Castillo Gomez for beating 799 Duelist at YCS Charleston to become the newest YCS Winner.
We saw 9-year-old Dawson McGaha Duel in yesterday’s Dragon Duel Feature Match, and take on a narrow 2-1 loss. Now he’s back, Dueling against 12-year-old Nathanael Patton. Patton is currently undefeated in the tournament, but McGaha took an early loss. Will McGaha be able to defeat the undefeated? It’s time to Duel!
Atlanta’s Patrick Hoban is looking to go back to back as he fights to win this YCS, but Northern California’s Elvis Vu is going to try his best not to let that happen. Both have shown their exceptional Draft skills to make it this far, so now it is time for them to Duel it out and see who advances from the penultimate Round!
Vu won the roll and has Hoban go first
We watched Michael Hairston narrowly defeat Jonathon Nagel last Round in sudden death, and now his opponent is Azad Deihim. Can we see a repeat success or will Hairston’s tournament end here?
Hairston wins the roll and chooses to go first.
Now that the Draft has gone by, Duelists have crafted their Decks from a total of 45 Battle Pack 3: Monsters League cards. Both Duelists had to make Deck building decisions on the fly as the packs were passed, and from that they have created their strategies that they are about to use. Who will prove themselves as the superior drafter?
Nagel won the die roll and chose Hairston to go first.
