This can be a tough Match for Duff if Herrera manages to discard his hand throughout the Match using X-Saber Airbellum and XX-Saber Gottoms, but an early Summon of Herald of Perfection or Archlord Kristya can mean victory for Duff. This Round 10 Feature Match pits Bobby Chambers’ Blackwing Deck against Luis Aldama’s Gladiator Beasts. This is typically a tough matchup for Gladiator Beasts, and Chambers’s 2 copies of Cards for Black Feathers will help him draw Royal Oppression to make things even harder. Both of these Duelists have 6-3 records heading into this round, and would require a miracle of tie-breakers to make it to the Top 32. But sometimes it’s all about style! Steven Kraml is running a Remove Brainwashing Deck, packed with cards like Lava Golem, Volcanic Queen, and Grinder Golem, big monsters that get Special Summoned to his opponent’s field, but that he can take control of with Brainwashing. Round 9 Feature Match: Luis Aldama vs. Andrew Lindskog

Andrew Lindskog and Luis Aldama currently hold 7-1 records heading into Round 9. Lindskog is running a Herald Deck with 3 copies of Upstart Goblin and 3 copies of Hand Destruction to speed through his Deck and Summon Herald of Perfection with Advanced Ritual Art as quickly as possible. His opponent, Luis Aldama, is running a Gladiator Beast Deck with a heavy Trap lineup including 2 copies of Gladiator Beast War Chariot in his Main Deck. Those Chariots may make this a tough matchup for Lindskog, but if he can Summon one of his three copies of Archlord Kristya early enough, he could be able to win the Match. Read more…
