Quarterfinal: Aquatic Calvin Tahan VS Commander Billy Brake

Two Fish Decks are still alive here in the Quarterfinals, but only 1 X-Saber Deck remains in the tournament!  Billy Brake could take X-Sabers to the Semifinals, but to do that, he’ll need to overcome the vicious power of Tahan’s Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth.  A win here would for Tahan would be a huge leap forward for Fish Duelists!

Round 5: Aquatic Nicky Lacaille VS Tombkeeper Marc Hahn

This Round we’d see New Jersey’s Marc Hahn Duel Montreal’s Nicky Lacaille, in a Match that would pit Gravekeepers against Fish.  We showed you Nicky Lacaille’s Fish Deck earlier this morning in a Deck Profile, and now that he had an undefeated 4-0 record, it was time to see the Deck in action!

Deck Profile: Aquatic Nicky Lacaille’s Fish Deck

Ever since late last year, Fish strategies centered on Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth have been gaining momentum and popularity.  The release of Formula Synchron in Starstrike Blast flung the doors wide open, allowing the Deck to make the most of the Level 1 Tuner Fishborg Blaster, and its ability to generate Level 1 Oyster Tokens to go with it.  On the other end of the spectrum, Shooting Star Dragon and Red Nova Dragon opened up some truly spectacular combos and unprecedented payoffs for the Deck’s key plays, and Fish Duelists haven’t looked back since.  Montreal’s Nicky Lacaille is 1 of the Duelists competing with this up-and-coming darkhorse pick this weekend: after a successful showing with Fish at an Ottawa Regional last November, here’s what he’s running today…
