Robert Boyajian is the only Worm Duelist left in the tournament, and Moises Rodriguez, a YCS first-timer, is the last remaining Gladiator Beast Duelist left in the tournament. Only one of them can move on. One of these Duelists will be eliminated, and either Worms or Gladiator Beasts will advance to the Top 8.

Traviis Massengale has traveled this weekend from Topeka, Kansas, making it to the Top 16 yet again. His opponent this round is Jordan Faulkenberry, hailing from the self-described “backwoods of South Carolina.” Faulkenberry’s piloting an interesting T.G. Flamvell Deck that sailed under the radar of most competitors this weekend. We’ve never seen a Deck like Faulkenberry’s in a Feature Match before, so we’re hoping for an excellent show!

Luke Patterson has been playing Scraps ever since they were released, and finished the Swiss rounds of this weekend’s tournament with a 9-1 record by using an updated Scrap Deck that takes advantage of Meklord Emperor Granel, Scrap Orthros, and Reborn Tengu. He also just won his first playoff rounds, utterly dominating Gladiator Beasts, a historically poor matchup for Scraps! His Deck is also packed with tech choices like Fiendish Chain and Scapegoat, which have amazing synergy with his monsters and open up a variety of plays that former Scrap Decks were incapable of making.

The Top 32 for this event is awesome. Popular Decks like Samurais, Gravekeepers, Gladiator Beasts, and all sorts of Plant Synchro variants have made the cut to the Playoffs, but Decks like Blackwings, Scraps, and a host of surprise strategies like Flamvells, Zombies, T.G.’s, and Worms are also in contention! This round we’ll see Johnathan Harrison take Blackwings against Jason Gilbert’s Doppel Synchro Deck.

Amanda LaPalme and Christopher Burrows are both 7-2 in the tournament, with the hope of a Top 32 finish riding on the outcome of this Match. LaPalme is back with her signature Dragon Deck, and Burrows is using a Dimensional Tengu Deck that takes advantage of effects that work when his monsters are removed from the Duel. If Burrows manages to keep his Dimensional Fissure on the field, this will be a difficult Match for LaPalme, who relies on Special Summoning Dragons from her Graveyard.
