Sunday Dragon Duel Feature Match: Michael Kokovidis vs. Oliver Tomajko

12-year-old Michael Kokovidis from Massachusetts is facing off against 10-year-old Oliver Tomajko from New York in Sunday’s Dragon Duel Feature Match! Tomajko is running a T.G. Two Duelists were left here in the Finals of the Public Event Playoffs. Tengu Synchro Duelist James Neumann, and Anti-Monster Duelist Christopher Rodriguz. Jesus Santos and Billy Brake are about to face off in a Match that will determine who takes home a set of Darklord Prize Cards. Brake is piloting a Plant Tengu Deck against Santos’s X-Saber Deck. Playoff Feature Match: Nicholas Montano vs. James Neumann

In the last hours of every Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series weekend, eight intrepid Duelists are selected to compete in two unique mini-tournaments, four competitors in each. The first four are the highest points-earners participating in Public Events over the course of the weekend. The next four are selected at random from the complete pool of participants, regardless of performance. These two groups play off in a two-round Single Elimination showdown, and the winner of each group wins a set of the Darklord prize cards. This Match pitted James Neumann against Nicholas Montano, in the first round of the Random Entry Public Event Playoffs. Neumann is running Tengu Synchro, while Montano is playing Gravekeepers. Jesus Santos from Buffalo, New York is facing off against Ricardo Escobar from Puerto Rico in the Top 4 of our point playoffs this weekend! These 2 Duelists racked up some of the most points by playing in Public Events all weekend, and now they’re both 2 wins away from a set of Darklord Prize Cards. Top 4 Feature Match: Peter Ngyuen Rex vs. T.S. Tyree Tinsley

Four Decks remained in the tournament: Samurais, Infernities, Frog Monarchs, and Tengu Synchro. This Match would pit Tengu Synchro Duelist Tyree Tinsley against Frog Monarch Duelist Peter Nguyen. The victor in this Match would guarantee themselves a set of the Darklord prize cards, and would move on to the Finals to compete for the honor of a Championship title. The other Duelist would have to duke it out for Third Place to win a set of prize cards. Read more…

Top 8 Feature Match: Hon. Nathaniel Jadotte vs. Macro Adam Moshinsky

Nathaniel Jadotte is one of several Six Samurai Duelists that made the Top 32, but Adam Moshinsky is the only Macro Cosmos Duelist to make the playoffs. We haven’t seen a Macro Cosmos Deck make the Top 32 of a YCS tournament in years! It’s a great fit for this tournament though, banishing key cards like Glow-Up Bulb, Dandylion, Spore, Gravekeeper’s Recruiter, and XX-Saber Darksoul. Read more…

Top 16 Feature Match: Tricksy Stephen Carella vs. Infernity Lainez Diaz

We saw alot of different Decks make the Top 32 at this event, but one of the most surprising was Reinaldo Jose Lainez Diaz’s Infernity Deck. Successfully winning his first playoff Match of the day, he’s now made it to the Top 16, where he’ll face off against Anti-Monster Duelist Stephen Carella. These are the only Infernity and Anti-Monster Decks to make the Top 32 cut, so they represent their strategies’ last chance to continue on in the tournament. Read more…
