Round 8: Junior Dorcin vs. Deaton Cooke

The Six Samurai won the most recent YCS, even though many members of the Dueling world were counting them out at the start of the tournament. Now, Junior Dorcin is hoping for a repeat this weekend. He’s currently 6-1 in the tournament with his Six Samurai Deck, and he’ll be facing off against Deaton Cooke, a YCS first-timer, and his T.G. Deck! A win for one of these Duelists will guarantee that Duelist a spot in Day 2.

Saturday’s Dragon Duel: David Munoz vs. Nicky Reardon

11-year-old David Munoz from Florida is playing in his first ever Dragon Duel this weekend! So far he’s doing quite well. He made it to the final round with a perfect 4-0 record, where he’ll be facing off against another undefeated Dragon Duelist – 12-year-old Nicky Reardon from Virginia! Reardon has played in Dragon Duels at Regional events before, but he has never entered one at a YCS event. Both of these Duelists are running Inzektor Decks, but only one of them will be able to win this Match and become Saturday’s Dragon Duel Champion!

QQ: What Did You Think of Six Samurai Winning YCS Guadalajara?

QQ stands for Quick Questions! YCS Guadalajara was the first YCS that permitted use of the new Wind-Up and Inzektor monsters. That’s why a lot of Duelists expected one of those 2 themes to win the tournament. But at the end of the weekend, the Six Samurai took the victory, emerging at the top of a diverse Top 32.
