This is the final round of the Ultimate Pegasus Challenge! Anthony Figueroa is using a Machina Gadget Deck, and Rafael Torres has been successful with a Chaos Burn Deck. Both Duelists have managed to stay undefeated so far, despite not only having to battle their opponents, but Maximillion Pegasus himself!
It all comes down to this! This weekend we saw 1154 Duelists gather right here at the Rhode Island Convention Center, and now that massive field has been whittled down to just two competitors. Fifteen year-old Chris LeBlanc hails from Boston Massachusetts, and made it to the Finals of this tournament with Karakuri Geargia. This is his first YCS Top 32 appearance. His opponent is Rochester, New York’s Chris Tuttobene, a Chaos Dragon Duelist who’s no stranger to the top cut spotlight. Experience favors Tuttobene, but this one is anybody’s Match!
Christopher LeBlanc from Boston, Massachusetts and Andres Torres from South America are the last two Karakuri Geargia Duelists left in the tournament. Now, they’re Dueling against one another for a spot in the finals of YCS Providence!
This is the Ultimate Pegasus Challenge: Things will pan out like a regular tournament, except for one problem. The creator of the game is here, and he’s feeling finicky! He’ll be throwing out rule changes on a whim, and all Duelists participating must comply! Darren Dunston, the voice of Pegasus, took hold of the microphone.
We’ve got more up-and-coming Duelists for Day 2’s Dragon Duel today! Benton took third place in yesterday’s Dragon Duel tournament, while Giovanna took fourth place in a Dragon Duel tournament during YCS Indianapolis! This is going to be a great match!
Christopher Tuttobene from Rochester, New York is the last Chaos Dragon Duelist left in a Top 8 full of 6 different types of Decks. His opponent, Daniel Vrabel from Syracuse, New York, is one of two Duelists using Agents in the Top 8. A victory here will bring one of these Duelists into the Top 4!
Over a thousand Duelists have been whittled down to just eight. The Top 8 decks of YCS Providence are two Karakuri Geargia; two Agents; a Gravekeeper Deck; Chaos Dragons; Dino Rabbit; and Zombie Monarchs! This Match pits the last two from that list head-to-head, as Nareg Torossian takes his Zombie Monarch variant Bo Tang’s Dino Rabbit build!
We saw New Jersey’s William Casaw in a Round 10 Feature Match earlier today. He wasn’t able to make any big moves in that match, but he still managed to fight his way to the Top 16! His opponent is Simon He, who hails from Nottingham in the UK! Only one Duelist can move on from here!
11 different Decks made it into the Top 16, including a lone Gladiator Beast Deck piloted by Brad Pironciak. Pironciak is using an original build that includes Gladiator Beast Samnite and Horn of the Phantom Beast. Now, he’ll be pitting his new creation against Brad Pironciak’s Karakuri Geargia Deck! Only one of these Duelists can advance to the Top 8!
We Feature Matched Justin Ashe earlier in the tournament, and now he’s brought Gravekeepers all the way to the Top 16! His opponent this round is playing another deck that was also a darkhorse pick coming into this weekend – Thomas Chacko is running Agents here in the final rounds of YCS Rhode Island! This one was anybody’s Match to win, and the victor here would be headed to the Top 8!
