Four Duelists were left in this tournament, and while Sorosh Saberian and Norberto Leon played a Mermail mirror match, Adrian Sean Shakir and Michael Stibbins were about to pit Wind-Ups against Inzektors. A win here meant a trip to the Finals and a guaranteed copy of the Championship Prize Card Digvorzhak, King of Heavy Industry!

A field of over seven hundred Duelists has been whittled down to just eight competitors! Two of them are running Agents; one is running Inzektors; another is playing Dino Rabbit; one is playing Wind-Ups; and the remaining three are playing Mermails. One of them is Norberto Leon, who you saw disassembling Joseph Giorlando in our Top 32 Feature Match earlier today. His opponent is Agent Duelist Simon He, who’s accredited with the most spectacular win of the tournament thus far, when he defeated Marquis Johnson in Round 6 with a Side Decked copy of Dark Magician. This was going to be another spectacular Match.

Both of these competitors have been to a few YCS tournaments earlier in their Dueling careers, but neither have ever made the Top 32 before. Now they’re facing off in the Top 16, in a Match that pits Stibbins’ Inzektors against Gonzalez’s Machina Geargia Deck. One Duelist would be headed from here to the Top 8! The other would be headed nowhere but home.

Dino Rabbit’s been one of the top Decks in this tournament. A hot prospect heading into the weekend, many Duelists favored it for its advantages in the Mermail match-up. With the ability to negate key effects and make tremendous use of Macro Cosmos, it’s proven to be one of the most successful Decks here this weekend. This Match pits veteran Duelist and repeated YCS Top 32 player Joseph Giorlando, against YCS newcomer Norberto Leon. With Giorlando packing Dino Rabbit and Leon piloting Mermails, this might be an easy path to the Top 16 for Giorlando.
