These 2 Decks were most Duelists’ favorites to win the tournament this weekend, and now they’re going up against each other in a Match that will determine the champion of YCS Austin!

Both of these Duelists have never made it into the Top 32 before, and now they’re Dueling for the experience of a lifetime, as one of them will make it into the Finals!
Oscar Zelaya and Francisco Saldivar are best friends from Dallas, Texas, who Duel against each other all the time at their local card shop. They built their Decks together, and are both using the same Mermail Deck this weekend. They played against one another in the Swiss rounds, and Zelaya was victorious. Now Saldivar is looking to even the score by eliminating Zelaya from the tournament and advancing to the Top 4 by winning this Top 8 Feature Match!

Oscar Zelaya from Dallas and Dominique Eskridge from Austin are Dueling against one another in this Top 16 Feature Match! Eskridge is using a Dino Rabbit Deck that traditionally has a favorable matchup against Mermails, and Oscar Zelaya is using the Mermail Deck that Eskridge’s Deck is built to beat. Stakes have never been higher for these two Duelists, as the winner of this Match will advance to the Top 8, while the other Duelist is eliminated!

Alexander Chavira is a Monarch Duelist Rockwell, TX, Duelist. He’s using a Frog Monarch Deck, a bit different than the ones we’ve seen lately. He’s playing less Frogs than normal, and no Sea Lancers. His opponent is Galo Orbea from Ecuador, a YCS Champion! Can Galo take a second win, or will Chavira make an upset?
Desmond Johnson from Atlanta finished the Swiss rounds with a 9-1-1 record using Karakuris, and Alejandro Ahearn from Boston finished the Swiss rounds with a 9-2 record using Mermails. Now, these 2 Duelists are Dueling against one another in a Match that will determine who advances to the Top 16!
We’re in the Top 32! We saw Will Isely’s HERO Deck yesterday, and he’s one of the only HERO Duelists to fight his way into the top cut. He’s up against Samuel Pedigo, who’s taken second place in the North American WCQ. He’s playing a Deck which it seemed people had forgotten about, but has had a resurge of popularity here in Austin – Geargia! It’s single elimination from here on, so only one of these Duelists will remain in the tournament after this!
Justin Shaft from Houston, Texas is Dueling against Vincent Mireles from Dallas, Texas in this Round 11 Feature Match! Both of these Duelists are currently 8-2 in the tournament, so each one of them is looking for a victory to take him into the Top 32! Shaft is using a teched out Gladiator Beast Deck that uses Fire Formation – Tenki and Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Bear from Cosmo Blazer to assist him in destroying his opponent’s monsters. His opponent, Vincent Mireles, is using a Mermail Deck. Only one of these Duelists will advance to the Top 32!
