This is Denny Yu’s third YCS Top 32, while for Brandon Wigley this is his fourth trip to the Top 32 tables. Mere minutes from now, one of these competitors would become a first-time Champion; the winner of YCS Las Vegas. The entire field had been reduced to just two competitors. It all comes down to this.

Steve Zepeda was our winner in yesterday’s Dragon Duel event. He made the trip all the way here from Philadelphia, and has been successful with his Bujin Deck so far. He’s facing off against Cody Rister, a Battlin’ Boxer Duelist from Sacramento! They’re fighting for the title of YCS Las Vegas Dragon Duel Champion!
Only four Duelists were left in this tournament! Willam Montes and Denny Yu were set to go head-to-head here in the Top 4, with the winner guaranteed to take home copy of the Number 106: Giant Hand prize card!
William Montes own his way into the Top 16 with Fire Fists, while we showed you Elvis Vu’s Mythic Rulers in Feature Match action several times over the course of the weekend! But now the gloves were off, Constructed was over, and the Draft portion of the Championship was in full swing. Montes has never drafted before, while Vu has drafted once. This is practically a new format for both of these competitors.
Chancy Wigglestove’s only loss this weekend thus far, was owed to his decision to take a bathroom break in Round 10. That cost him a game loss, which made for his only Match loss of the weekend, but didn’t stop him from being the top seed going into a Top 32 Feature Match where he dominated his opponent.
Now that we’ve gotten to the Top 32, let’s take a look at what Decks are doing well in the new April Forbidden & Limited format.
