The results from the second Tag Dueling tournament of the weekend are in! James Rodriguez teamed up with Brandon Williams to take down the other 7 teams in their tournament! Rodriguez and Williams are friends that traveled here from Arizona, and both of them used Life Equalizer Burn Decks to win the tournament. They defeated a team consisting of a Prophecy Duelist and Dragon Ruler Duelist to win in their final round.
Only eight Duelists remain in the tournament now. Dragunity Decks are now the most common Decks remaining, having weeded out most of the Dragon Rulers. This match will see a Dragunity mirror match, between Xue Hu and Stephen Klaus. Only one can move on!
Christian Sagabaen from San Jose, California is Dueling against Billy Brake from Dallas, Texas in this Top 8 Feature Match! Sagabaen is using the last Geargia Deck remaining in the tournament, while Brake is one of the Dragon Ruler Decks still vying for the top spot in the tournament. One of these Duelists will make it to the Top 4, while the other will be eliminated. It’s time to Duel!
We’re in the second round of Single Elimination now, and Christian Sagabaen is the lone Geargia Duelist still in the tournament. He’s up against Jovanny Castillo, a Dragon Ruler Duelist. Each of these Decks is capable of making explosive plays, so this ought to be a great match!
David Girvin teamed up with Spencer Deigert to win this weekend’s Tag Dueling tournament! Girvin and Deigert are long-time friends from Rocklin, California, and both of them used Lightsworn Decks to win today’s tournament. They defeated a team of 2 Duelists who were both using Blackwing Decks in the final round. Read more…
QQ stands for Quick Questions! Duelists are excited about the release of Sixth Sense in Legendary Collection 4: Joey’s World next week. Sixth Sense lets a Duelist choose 2 numbers between 1 and 6, and then forces the opponent to roll a die. If the opponent rolls one of those numbers, the Duelist who activated Sixth Sense draws a number of cards equal to the die roll. Otherwise, that Duelist sends cards from the top of his Deck to his Graveyard equal to the die roll instead. Most Duelists choose 5 and 6 for the opportunity to draw the most cards with Sixth Sense. Other Duelists, who may benefit greatly from sending cards from the top of their Deck to the Graveyard, may choose lower numbers so that they can spread out the rewards of Sixth Sense. I surveyed the Duelists in attendance this weekend to see which 2 numbers they’re going to choose most often with Sixth Sense. Check out their responses!
It looks like everyone’s having a blast in today’s Dragon Duel tournament!
